Because the CIC Department Head needs to answer to Minister of the Immigration.
Government institutions need to answer to the portfolio minister. It is through dialogue and political will that will set the policy.
Canada is a nation of immigrants. You can't totally ignore them.

CIC does not publish what applications are being processed.
This is another reason for the spreadsheet.

When did it go for IN PROCESS for you and what does ECAS status says, that you application has been in process on WHAT DATE?

I am curious because one of my friend application is still in queue under spousal category, you can add on timeline if you wish..

For those that have had a remedical exam, how did it differ from the upfront medical, or did it? They still do blood tests and urine analysis?

they don't do blood and urine test in re-medical.

no way, i feel your pain. inshallah things will move from here. if you dont see any response in 1-2 weeks, i would go to MP office and get a letter, i mean you should have done that by now but yeah do that. keep the finger crossed. i hope you get positive news soon. Ordering GCSM notes doesn't necessarily delay your file as mentioned by Mercy24 to many people here and again you should have ordered it to see what's causing this delay on your file.
