yaar it says CIC is taking 60 days on their website to get your 1st approval, so if you applied july 5th, i am guessing you should receive your 1st approval by end of coming week. keep fingers crossed.

Can somebody guide me that i have applied sponsorship file for my wife on 7 july 2015.
And haven't received any conformation yet from them, Can someone guide me how long would it take to get the Client Id Number.

you should wait for the documents to be received by LVO, your file to be worked on again and await any status updates further. keep fingers crossed inshallah all will be well. i hope you sent mail registered so you can track and ensure your docs have been delivered.

Our ECAS became In Process on August 25th I am reading posts of people applied in 2015 and we are April 2014, I see your Record file and there are only 4 or 5 of us around April time all others have got visas. I tell you me and my wife are really having a depressing time as our files are crawling like a snail. I am even afraid to ask for GCSM that if I do now as our file is in process, we may force it to delay further. will it help to go to our MP or should I write mail to LVO? Please let me know what should we do to make our file move. In past 16 moths since we applied lots have happened. Thank you

no way, i feel your pain. inshallah things will move from here. if you dont see any response in 1-2 weeks, i would go to MP office and get a letter, i mean you should have done that by now but yeah do that. keep the finger crossed. i hope you get positive news soon. Ordering GCSM notes doesn't necessarily delay your file as mentioned by Mercy24 to many people here and again you should have ordered it to see what's causing this delay on your file.

Thank you Chitah, I will then go to our MP after Tuesday as they update mostly Tuesdays. Also I will request the notes. I am Citizen and a taxpayer since Migrated 18 years ago. I provided eveything required dont understand this delay as they have even issued visas to 2015 applicants.

I have already stated that ordering GCMS notes does not delay your case.
If you don't want to know what is happening with your file, then don't order.

Your MP will look at the timeline published on CIC and either
1) not do anything
2) inquire with CIC and get a generic response (i.e. conducting background check)
3) they have been known to give incorrect information

My perspective is this -- knowledge is power. Start from there and then take your next step.

I have noticed that near the end of August your case has changed to "in process".
And because of the upcoming elections, I feel positive that September will be a productive month and insha'allah we will see much more DMs.

Again, the fact your file has taken an unusually longer time, you should be more knowledgeable about your case.
