No but just thinking that lawyer can probably present case better than me coz they know what exactly CIC is looking for in an application.

Honestly there is no difference at all. You can present yourself better than anyone else. If you need any help this forum is there. Put as many questions as you want and also I would say don't waste your money in lawyers if your case is straight forward.
If you are confused in filling up any forms please let us know we will try to help you out.

Senior Members,

I need advice please.

I received my notes the other day and i have some questions regarding that.

Notes were generated on 22-06-2015.

It says eligibility is in progress but later in notes1 the officer says he has recommended me passed.
Criminality- not started (updated: oct, 2014, Due Date:30-06-2015 )
Security- not started (updatedct, 2014, Due Date: 15-07-2015)
Paper file location- PA put away.

Can someone please elaborate these notes for me??
Should I order new notes to have a better idea?
What does PA - put away means?

Dear All,

i applied my case from Pakistan but now i am in saudi arabia for job purposes.

Now after a long wait they requested me for re Medical which i have already sent and for KSA police clearance certificate.

i am still to receive the instructions sent by them , but i think they will also need police clearance from Pakistan (which they have not asked me yet.)

should i send them Pakistan Police clearance as well just in case to remove time

My wife is a Canadian National and she applied for my spousal sponsorship last month. I am a Pakistani national living in UK for past 10 years. I was just wondering how long would it take them to process my application?Would it be 6 month like British locals or 3 years like all Pakistani Passport holders. I am a bit confused .Please help if anyone has any experience.

It will take around 12 to 14 months like other Pakistani.

It depends on your status in the UK. If you are a UK National, then you are visa exempt country. You can even visit your wife, but if you don't have any status in the UK and are a pure Pakistani National then, yes it takes a bit longer. CIC will definitely ask you what were you doing in the UK for 10 years. Though these days straight forward cases takes 14-18 months maximum, but some cases gets longer depending on their complications.

OK thanks for your help but waiting 14 months is lot of time. I get my permanent residence for UK next do you think that will make a difference if i inform them. BTW i was studying in UK and now in full time employment not that i makes a difference.

I was just on the immigration website today and saw london office's processing time is 28 months while i've been reading here it's 11 months. Have they changed it recently?
