Can anyone please guide if we need to make NICOP before going to Canada. if yes then how NICOP gonna help?

Since you are already in Pakistan just renew your NIC to the maximum length(10 years? Not sure). You will get Canadian passport atleast 5 years after landing so you can just use your NIC+ Pakistani passport to travel back home.
Nicop is suggested for people living outside Pakistan who never had NIC(kids born abroad) or if your NIC has expired and you are abroad. Don't delay this if your NIC is about to expire as getting nicop here is expensive ($110 I think! ) plus the hassel of going to the Pakistani embassy which works 3 hours a day.

How nice of you pakigirl, we hope & pray for the same. but CIC website says it takes 29months recently ;(

I sincerely hope it doesn't take more than that ^^ however, be realistic. Me and a lot of members are waiting for more 13-14 months now to hear from LVO.

One should keep in mind the lead time of 28 months before sending in the application so he/she doesn't get frustrated if the 11 months time passes.

Finaly we have received our police certificate from Australia . Now we are sending it to LVO. Anybody knows their new address please ?

i know it only says 29 months bcz applications that have been completed thos year took 29 months avg bcz they were stuck in islamabad thats y however if your file goes dorectly to london itll take 11 months inshallah or around that

a applied march 2013,,, case transfer to london feb 2014
re medical feb 2015 with additional documents
1oo days passed of in process
when will status change from in process to DM
we contacted MP ... She replied case in process
how much time is required from in process to DM

My husband's passport is expiring in January 2016, should we get the new one and send the copy of new passport and (already) renewed ID card to LVO ?

I received the same email in early February, a month before the medical expiry date (in March). They did not extend my medical though. LVO sent the remedical request 3 weeks later (still before the expiry date). From what Ive seen, the majority of the cases that received this email were not granted an extension. Not sure why they ask then.
Also, they did not request additional information (eg. police certificate or form A) to date.

I sent the details of my travelling to LVO last week but haven't heard back from them yet. They also asked for update family background and Form A with fresh police certificate. If they don't have to extend medical then why they ask for details why not simply ask for fresh med
