But i was reading someone said that the person who is sponsoring has be in Canada. For only few days the spouse can come and visit.

So are you sure about it ? Please if you have any reference from CIC website or any other source please provide.

Canadians can stay overseas without limit, but CIC can still ask them for plans in Canada, which can be proved using various docs.
Permanent Residents can also stay provided they maintain residence in Canada, have plans to live in Canada permanently, etc

I did a few days ago.

My husbands police check was valid for 120 days and expired in jan. i was thinking of resending a new one because i kno cic having to ask for it is going to make the process longer.
Everyone please advise

Hey! Not necessary they will ask.. In my case they didn't ask n expired in March 2015

Nothing much they check your personal history, police certificates, your previous travels etc. No one can tell what specifically they check as its an internal process.

But there is no harm in sending a renewed certificate a year after it has been issued (which is when it expires).

Assalam alaikum everyone. I have two questions if someone can please help. My first question is how long it takes after decision made to PPR request? My Ecas status changed to decision made on May 11 and still waiting for ppr. And my second question is I have applied for my daughters citizenship who was born last year in October. It's been only two months since I have applied for her citizenship in Canadian consulate Lahore office and now I want to apply for her limited validity passport, and my question is can I send my daughters limited validity passport application with my wife passport once she gets passport request or I have to apply for my daughters passport at Canadian consulate? Thank you in advance.
