Reassessment of a medical file for the issuance of a new medical certificate
This Operational Bulletin has expired.

Summary

Effective June 1st, 2012, officers can request that an applicant's medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires. This process is limited to applicants who had a routine immigration medical examination (IME) done by a panel physician within the last 15 months in or outside Canada. The new medical certificate issued will be valid for 12 months.

Issue

This Operational Bulletin aims to standardize the reassessment of a medical file for the issuance of a new medical certificate to ensure alignment with the legislation while fulfilling departmental operational needs. This procedure is limited to situations where the final decision of an officer is pending due only to the expiration of a medical certificate. If anything else is pending, the officer should not use this procedure.

Also note, that medical extension is based on Visa Officer's discretion.

I have one more question if you can answer this. I have applied on feb 2015 for the Canadian citizenship for my daughter as well who was born 6 months ago in Pakistan. How she can come with my wife if my wife get her visa soon IN SHAA ALLAH because my daughter doesn't have an Canadian citizenship right now? I have applied for her citizenship on feb 2015 in Canadian consulate Lahore and they told me it will take 9 months for her citizenship.

- Copy of the bio-page of the current passport for you and your dependents.

Please submit the requested documentation/information to us within 14 days by return email.

I dont know what stage of processing is this, means I have heard that there is no PPR1 required now a days, which even isnt asked for, this way.. Like it is always asked with some information sheet, height, eye colour etc..

aoa..im living in pakistan and my husband is in canada..he has PR card and we have applied for immigration..our file has transfered to LVO at 18th jan 2015..how much time will it take??cn i apply for visit visa?im a doctor doing govt job in pakistan..how many chances of getting visa?

Hey, in my case what we have done is, our son was born in Nov 2014, we sent all the info to missisauga office.
We got his B-form made from Nadra that takes 7 days, and got his Pakistani Passport made based on B-Form within 5 days.
As soon as we got his Pakistani passport, we had applied for his visa only and within a month got visa for canada.

In our case, since the wife was canadian citizen, getting a visa for the new born was pretty straight forward case.

Since your wife has not got a canadian visa yet, i suggest to ready your kids pakistani passport, and the day your wife gets her canadian visa, apply online for your daughter's visa based on the fact that your wife has got visa, your are a citizen and that your kid needs to travel with you to canada. I am sure than they cant deny the visa to minor.

Btw the processing time of visa application for kids is i think 2 or 3 weeks, we got it in a month.

You would need to apply for a Limited Validity Passport and prove to them it is urgent situation.

Salaam everyone .

Has anyone recieved there passports back these days?
They were sending them back quite fast the last few weeks.

We're still waiting for my husband's to be returned to us. It's been 7 business days. Praying it comes back soon, inshAllah!

That was weird in one question that asked explanation of No , well just write NA or Not applicable in the tables , and you don't need to explain anything for it.
