aoa..im living in pakistan and my husband is in canada..he has PR card and we have applied for immigration..our file has transfered to LVO at 18th jan 2015..how much time will it take??cn i apply for visit visa?im a doctor doing govt job in pakistan..how many chances of getting visa?

Coz I may not think so, In my humble view, medical request is sent as the first medical expire regardless if ur file is awaiting review or under review...

Please correct me if I am wrong ,

Need information about vfs pakistan. what time usually they send passport return notification email. Already send passport via VFS Lahore on 17 march 2015

I also submitted my PP on 20 March via vfs KHI , but didnt get PP back yet.

The chances are pretty slim, but you have a good case as you have a permanent Govt job and income, you just have to show that you would return to your job in a month or two show them the leave letter, appointment letter, your previous travels outside Pakistan to noticeable countries are needed, show you have property or something in Pakistan, if there isn't any ask your parents or someone to add you in the the docs of their house (that really helps trust me ), and some other docs and you are good to go. But wait for your sponsorship approval first.

It's a sign that a VO is assigned to your file and you file have atleast landed in someone hands from that big pile of files waiting to be looked. Also for people like Sana and me as we are in a same boat any correspondence from LVO is a blessing

I m worried as ECAS is not working from my end, i am checking my application status and its not showing be, server down i guess ?? is that happening to anybody else??
Well the Main question is that london immigration office asked for the copy of bio page of passport, eye colour and height ect

i submitted all said documents.
Now again recently they asked me for my last 10 years work history in detail through email with the time frame of 7 days. I ALREADY have send it just want to know what will be next step from there side ????? anybody can tell what can it be???

Your case is almost near completion MASHA ALLAH just fullfill the requirements they asked and I would say you would get PPR in a month. Even if you have send it to them already and they are asking for something just send it to them again (no questions asked).

What is your timeline btw.?

It doesn't matter if they didn't asked for it they might have extended it for you. Which is a good sign for you as they will be completing your application really soon.

I got the same email from London Visa office on feb 26 and have replied to there email since then i heard nothing from them. You got any reply after answering their question bro?

I've googled what does the medical extension means in our cases, apparently if the visa officer is sure about everything and the only thing stopping him from giving a visa is the expiration of medical than he can extend medical on his own for a period of 12 months i.e medical without an actual re-medical is extended upto an year.

By the looks of it, it should be the final stage.. but havent heard from them after 28th Jan 2015.

I just joined so i have no clue how to put the timeline in your user id like you guys have.

App Filed: 24th April 2014
Sponsorship Approval: 20th June 2014 (and i think at the same time moved to LVO)
Medical was done upfront on 6th March 2014..
Got Email on 28th Jan 2015: Saying as a one off case, medical will be extended.

Reassessment of a medical file for the issuance of a new medical certificate
This Operational Bulletin has expired.

Summary

Effective June 1st, 2012, officers can request that an applicant’s medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires. This process is limited to applicants who had a routine immigration medical examination (IME) done by a panel physician within the last 15 months in or outside Canada. The new medical certificate issued will be valid for 12 months.

Issue

This Operational Bulletin aims to standardize the reassessment of a medical file for the issuance of a new medical certificate to ensure alignment with the legislation while fulfilling departmental operational needs. This procedure is limited to situations where the final decision of an officer is pending due only to the expiration of a medical certificate. If anything else is pending, the officer should not use this procedure.
