Hello Fellow Members, As previously shared that my spouse has received her visa to travel. We have applied for our sons Cnd PP (Application Received by ISL- High Commission on March 16,2015) and booked tickets for the April 19,2015. Can you plz share your experience on receiving pp and how long usually it takes???? VERY CONCERNED....

Second question is, during travelling. Can she carry powdered milk for the kids or do they provide that in the flight? Does powdered milk has to be sealed ? She is transiting at Qatar and London? so eventually she will have to open that milk package. Just want to make sure this doesn't cause any problems as she will be a first time traveler?

Does she need to bring any filled forms before seeing the border agency in Canada? Or just her landing papers/ pp with visa is all she needs? Thanks

Whatever form of milk is they check it even liquid. They asked one of my relative to drink that milk to ensure its only milk. Most importantly london airport they are just mess. You cant believe how much trouble they can create if anything seems in acurate. Nothing to worry about but just make sure that dont carry anything suspicious. Carry what ever form of milk. Please take some additional milk packs as ur baby is useto of that milk. She would be given a form at plane before landing canada. That form relates to tax. She can bring anything first time and would be no taxation implications.
When she land at canada airport she would be asked to sign landing papers and pr will be sent to her later on by mail.

hello everyone! I have been reading this forum for a long time and it is very helpful. This is my first time posting because I am just a little confused about where my process is at this point. I am sponsoring by husband and wondering what it going on.

The emails I've gotten tell me:

Application Received: October 2014
File Transferred to LVO : Dec 17 2014

and When I check the online status it says:

1) We received your application for permanent residence on October 7, 2014.

2) Medical results have been received. (i sent these when i applied and they expire in august 2015 because i think they are valid for 1 year)

so how long until the next step and what is the next step? Please let me know! Thanks!

I have one question, My wife's medical is expiring on July 9, 2015. Does anyone know when would we get the request for the re-medical? My wife is planning on going out of Pakistan for a while so we just have to plan accordingly, Thank you for your time, and prayers for everyone!!

My wife's spousal application (Pakistani Applicant) is in process at London Office. We got the following email:

Dear Applicant,
We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
As you are aware, visa validity is determined by medical validity, and for this application your medical results expired on 2015/02/22.
As a one-off procedure, in order for our medical officer to potentially reassess the current medical results and determine whether an extension of your medical validity is possible, please provide the following:
- countries visited/country of residence since the date of your original medical, including details of all/any business trips, holidays/vacations or stopovers of any duration.
- details of any illnesses, however minor or temporary, since the date of your original medical.
If the medical officer determines that an extension of your medical validity is not possible, repeat medical instructions will be sent.

Can she reply by email? Does it means we are near the finish line? In February, CIC asked for additional proof regarding the DOB and Marriage age of my wife, which they received March 6, 2015, does this email mean they are okay with the information submitted?

Yes u need to fill that too. I remember signing the form and scanning it to send to my husband... Later on he used that signed and scanned form to order notes.

bak grnd check is big topi of LVO, when they say its mean they chk your patients not bak ground chk,its my experience they have quotas for different vos so when your officer have quota for you then he will issue you visa otherwise bak ground security chk ki topi

totally agreed my Background checks started in August 2014 and now April 2015, still they r saying routine background checks r running. i dont know when complete these checks :-\

Wait atleast 9-12 months....

anything before 7 month is a long shot coz LVO is a bit slow these days..
I wish u best of luck with ur application..(according to the trend LVO working on mostly May-June 2014 files)

Ordering notes after 15 to 20 days of receiving will let you know if they received and attached your correspondence to your file or not.
