Bro I am thinking of doing the same as you know sponsorship itself can take such long time. I have submitted my sponsorship application 2 days ago. When did you submit it?
let me know how are you planning to do it/share some info. thanks
I think for visit visa, it is imp too to see at what stage the PR application is. I mean if the initial screening, for the sposnor at least, has been done, the better. I am 2021 applicant for PR, medical done in Feb 2022.

My son is a Canadian citizen and is living with his mother who is awaiting PR under spousal sponsorship to be approved. I applied in October 2021 and my son was born in February 2022. I applied for and received my son's citizenship certificate, however I still need to apply for his Canadian passport. The website says they need both parent's signature for the child passport, but my wife is in Pakistan and I'm in Canada. Anyone go through the same situation? How do I apply for child passport if both parents are in difference countries?

How long was your PR tracker eligibility section saying "In Progress" before being approved?

Sept 15th - ADR - requested confirmation that my child is a Canadian Citizen and requested copy of passport biodata page (I sent Citizenship Certificate and Child's Pakistani Passport Biodata page as I had not yet applied for Canadian Passport of child due to passport office only accepting urgent applications and insanely long lineups) - I seriously hope this wasn't a big mistake

Hello, We've applied for my Spousal Sponsorship online this year. I've been waiting on an update after completing my bio and medical exam. We also had a baby during this process and so far we've had confirmation that all our documents have been received and they'll soon be added to our file. There has not been any progress besides that except for regular Ghost Updates on the new PR tracker. Any idea how long do they take to add a dependent in PR file and send a medical request?

Since its a long wait for PR, we've also applied for a TRV for myself and my son. It's been over 4 months and no updates on that either. Anybody has a similar case?

Are you a Canadian Citizen or PR?

Ask the consular section at the Embassy what they'll accept. They may accept a scanned application with signature or a letter of some sort. Note that you should check carefully what travel docs/permissions airlines and Pakistani/other authorities will be needed for the child to travel without you (at time fo travel).

Im the PA. My husband is a canadian PR.

From what I've heard from 2 different families who were in a similar situation, adding a child to PR application can extend your timeline quite a bit. I can't say how long but I know a family who has been waiting for 2 years now...

No I didnt get reply to my email.

even raised a webform and same no reply.

What is your status?
Yes I emailed them on Sept 27 and got an answer on Oct. 6. Currently waiting for medical instructions.
I think you will get an answer from them very soon. They usually take 7-10 days to respond to emails. I have a good feeling that you will get PPR very soon. Please keep us posted! =)
