I got the rukhsati letter.

They r giving me only 30 days

How do i get an extension? I am having rukhsuti on 14th of Jan.

Also how long more after this?

I am new to this forum. I have a question. Would it be good enough for spousal sponsorship process to have nikkah and ruksati together as one function instead of two separate functions and send those pictures with other pictures taken with my spouse on other occasions? Thanks in advance

Just make sure all the pics are taken properly showing everything CIC can possibly ask.

If you have any invitations/cards, bookings of hall, etc for the Rukhsati, send them in now.
Otherwise as soon as you land in Islamabad, courier these to the visa office referencing file #, alongwith ppt stamps and boarding passes, etc.
Important: Inform them of the Rukhsati dates ASAP....by letter or fax, etc and let them know the dates everything is happening.

Get lots of evidence and submit it after Rukhsati to the visa office once everything is done.
Plan an outing for yourself and your spouse after the rukhsati, any outings for shopping, or sightseeing, etc.

I've recently got married and after the marriage recieved medical request. Now where should my wife send the application
for spouse visa... Is it Missisuaga or london office.
And also in whose name the bank draft should be prepared or should i go for a credit card payment..

I already had it planned before the letter..Alhamdulilah..

I am going to call mp tomorrow and see if i can get an extension.
papers are in London. Would i be able to send it through email?

I sent the copy of the passport page to the london office along with Permanent Residence Fee..
What would be the next step? the documents reached the london office on 20th of November.. till when can I expect PPR2??

How the spousal sponsorship works i.e. Steps

London Visa Office Processing time is 11 Months

Dear all just for the clarity i m posting the process of Family sponsorship for understanding of all of thread members.

Phase 1: Sponsor's Approval


1. Sponsorship application submission (AT CPC-Mississauga)

2. First Email: application of sponsorship received by CPC-Mississauga (with in a week time or 10 days)

3. 2nd email: Sponsorship approval and File is sent to London Visa office for further processing (with in 1 month)
or if you are an old applicant (Islamabad Visa Office) then your file is transferred to LVO. whether you get email or not your file is in London.


Phase 2: Visa Office Stage (Principle Applicant or Spouse)



Steps: Eligibility Assessment (Relation is Genuine or not) > Re-Med if required > Back ground checks > PPR 1 > PPR2 > Visa Issued

5. Eligibility Assessment: Additional documents or Interview request from LVO to assess eligibility.(between 5-8 months is my best guess) Interview will most likely held in Islamabad but interviewer will be a person from LVO not from Islamabad (Interview is only to assess whether relationship is genuine or not).

6. background checks will be done after relationship is confirmed by Visa officer.

Passport request is Two step process as Pakistani law does not permit sending passport out of country

7. Passport request 1. PPR1 sending copies of the passport and pictures to LVO (30 days) (immediately send to LVO on given address)
after receiving your copies of passport and pictures. LVO will issue Visa and COPR issued as per your passport and send it to Islamabad

8. Passport Request 2. PPR2. Original passport and return address needs to be sent to Islamabad. (usually 30-45 days after PPR1) Send PPs through TCS visatronics

9. Visa is being pasted on Passport. VISA along with COPR is sent to your return address.

10. You are ready to land.........

Email containing so many pics will get heavier even if you compress the pics and other proofs. Better send via mail and then email regarding the proof being send and rukhsati updates.

In a month, may be mid of Jan or end of Jan cz of these holidays.

How about Gift Receipts?? Obviously they will be written in Urdu by the shop keeper so my question is, Are they supposed to be sent like that or they have to be translated in English before sending? Does anyone know about it?

just send those in as they are.
If they need to get translated they can get it done or ask you to send in its translated version. I
Only marriage certificate etc they are particular about perhaps for their own good.
