Finally collected my passport today. Got the Visa and COPR Alhumdulilah
turns out the COPR states that the visa has been issued on the same date as when it went into process. I wanted to ask if we can travel back to Pakistan anytime soon or do we have to wait for a certain time because under conditions it says you have to live with your sponsor for at least 2 years and the undertaking months are 36 which means 3 years. Also the document says its not valid for travel. Then what's the point of that copr? Haha. Oh and one more thing, someone told me they have kept dogs on security for people coming for immigration haha. WHY WOULD YOU SCARE PEOPLE LIKE THAT?
First of Congratulations on visa and COPR. Keep in mind the official travel document in any country is Passport, even head of the states and Govts can't travel without it, though they have their diplomatic PPs and their immigration is done either inside the airplane or while they sit in the lounges. Anyways, COPR is a very important document you have to keep your copy safe until you reach the age of retirement in Canada.
The document carries the details of your immigration and it can also help you to Sponsor another family member. Yes you can travel anytime to Pakistan but better get the PR card, otherwise the Canadian immigration will not allow you to re-enter, since the visa you have got is for single use.
As per new rules the PA is under agreement with Sponsor (remember you both PA & Sponsor signed that agreement while applying for Spousal Sponsorship Application) and has to oblige the 2 years time period meaning the PA cannot seek any Govt's financial assistance but has to be dependent on the Sponsor, however he / she can earn once gets the SIN.
