Hi,

I got the landing free request in March 31,2015 which I submitted by April 1,2015 but I have not heard anything back. whats the next step?

on the website they increased processing time from 32 months to 40 months now . I thought they would decrease the time since cases are going to process from London.

Do they not ask for your documents? Birth certificates, educational and medical records etc?

At the port of entry only individual's PP and COPR will be examined.

When did you have your upfront medical, if not have you received any medical request yet? Exact date?

My son was born on 30th may 2012 .. the citizenship rules were changee by then and thats why i am sponsoring him and hes not entitled to direct citizenship.
What im asking is how long does certificate of citizenship take once applied for.. and after rcving it how long does it take for the passport to arrive.. also do u need to stay in canada until u have the certificate or u can travel back and forth?

My file went straight to LVO on june 3rd 2014. I sent medical rite after submitting my application. they processed the application and accept the case on june29 and issued me Uci # july30 they start working on my file.
March 30,2015 they asked me submit the landing fee which I did next day.
they did not ask for re medical yet or passport.

That is pretty normal. You would hear from them soon, they will be working on your eligibility checks..!! But passport request is the last step so you are still a month or two behind that. Next you would hear about the remed request. Keep checking your emails often.

No you can't, you have to wait for them to request it, some times when they delay the medical there is a slight chance of them extending the previous one if your case is near completion and only medical is the hindrance in visa issuance. So wait for it ALLAH will do whatever is best in your interest. Ameen

Thanks for typing outside the quote . Remedical can be done anywhere but needs to be done by a cic approved Panel physician of that city. Visa visa always get rejected specially in case of wife. As they think she will not go back when her visa period ends. Chances of rejection are 99.90 %, I would say don't even waste your energy on it.

Not entirely true. As soon as I got sponsorship approval, I had my wife apply for TRV (visitor's visa) and was granted a 4-year multiple entry visa. She visited me in Canada and went back after 5 months. She is now here on PR (total process took about 20 months).

They are not giving TRVs to everyone who applies, just do your due diligence in presenting a strong case as to why she would want to go back (ties back to Pakistan), emphasis on travel history (if any) plus your reasoning for inviting her, funds available during her stay, visitor's insurance etc.

There is hope after all. May you all have a very speedy and stress free sponsorship process.
