Share the details to have a better look at your situation. When did you file your appllication and when was it recieved? Did you do your medical before filing the application? Was there an interview? Were any additional documents required from your end?

Yes I did my medical in may 2014, file transfer to lov in june 2014, no interview yet, yes asked for documents in May 2015, medical already expired

Likewise for me, ecas is still app received. Did you order notes? Also do you know the initials or ID of your visa officer?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with my queries in regards to the NICOP.

I got my CNIC expired and now I'm looking forward to renew it. My marital status has also been changed from 'single' to 'married' this year and my wife is currently in Pakistan waiting for her Canadian immigration. I have submitted our original 'Nikahnama' and the original 'Marriage registration certificate' for my wife's immigration to the visa office in London. I do have the photocopies of all the originals (like nikahnama, marriage registration certificate, my wife's new CNIC with my name on it as her husband and all the required documents as a proof of marriage).

Question:

1) Can I apply for my new NICOP with the photocopies of 'Nikahnama' and the 'marriage registration certificate'?
or
2) Do I definitely have to wait for the Original nikahnama and the marriage registration certificate to get back from the immigration office and then apply for my renewed Identity card?

i dont think male need Nikkah nama for NICOP or NIc its required for female due to name change..and copy is accepted in my case

When did it change to "In Process"? There are two things, either they will extend your medical and process it faster which means it can change to Decision Made or if you don't hear from them soon then you'll be asked for a re-medical. In any case you're a step closer in this process and they are working on your file which is a good sign. Wish you good luck

I didn't order notes our lawyer sent an inquiry but they just replied saying its still in the processing time. They dont respond unless the processing time has exceeded the "average" time which is a year and a half. Not saying that's how long it takes but they dont do an inquiry if you're within the normal time frame. After that i didnt order notes cuz i dont think its of any use. Everything's complete it's just stuck for no reason.

Thanks MRS SAM. Yes you're right. I sent an e-mail to pak HC in Toronto and they confirmed that the photocopies of Nikahnama are acceptable.

I am little confuse about my status on application still its showing application received never change to in process since i applied from Sept 2014 is it normal and yes
i have asked for re medical and other document what is next step any help..

Well i strongly recommend that you order notes, they normally only respond to inquiries directly if they need something from you. Notes will give you a very good idea on where you stand with regards to eligibility, criminal and security checks.

We are currently putting into active processing, applications received in CPC-Mississauga in September 2014. Your application was received in CPC-Mississauga on October 22nd, 2014, therefore is nearing the active processing stage. Our aim is to finalise files that have entered active processing within 8-12 months."

so it seems it's the time when it was received in CPC-Mississauga rather than London

that's weird, and mor confusing. As I just saw another email other day from LVO stating that they are starting to work on files received at LVO from July to August or September I think, and now this one states that they are starting to work on files received in Mississauga in September 2014. Does NOT make sense.

Dont worry...its normal ..do ur remedical and submit additional documents then wait 2 months or less
