nikkah only cases without rukhsati are fine IF the sponsor visits their spouse after filing the app and/or cohabits with their spouse for a while after the nikkah.

this depends on the visa officer of course, but i did notice that we're starting to see less cases of applicants being asked to perform a formal rukhsati celebration.

He's visiting her this month and got the decision before Visting. But he told cic when he applied that he will visit in october. They also sent around 30 photos proof of communication and financial support.

visits after filing app or cohabitation after nikkah, either is suitable.

if there's no cohabitation after nikkah or if the relationship is a long term one, they're more likely to ask for proof of visit. regardless, LVO's visa officers seem to be learning and i'm glad that formal rukhsati is no longer a strict requirement for pakistani applicants.

Rukhsati is a cultural thing anyway...its a pity the LVO has it in their checklist...pisses me off everytime i hear about a rejection becausw of no rukhsati.

Im glad they r learning . makes it easy for families.

MA, congrats! This week has been great for Feb applicants!
On our 2016 spreadsheet, there's only 1 PPR yet, however the 201 suggests that DM and PPR are mostly the same day. Just expect an email from them in coming week!

Oh yes, just seen, he/she is on the 2016 spreadsheet too. Please update teh spreadsheet admins with ur DM and PPR dates.
Us 2016 applicants are more excited to see some green colors on the spreadsheet.
