salam alaikum to everyone on this forum.
today i am going to make an account on mycic. after entering the whole detail via rbc banking. i go to the main page where there is written LINK AN EXISTING APPLICATION. At this stage after entering the whole information and by clicking the search option it goes to error. kindly plz tell me what is the error why i am not going to link my application and see the status of my application at mycic.

We received my wife and son's stamped passports alongwith COPR on 19 th July 2016.

Regarding imm0008 what should I select family or refugee?
My wife is a protected person not me,I guess it is family?

And about dependents, my all de pedants are there in Canada should I write the details again?

And do you have experience with this police certificate how to get one?
Do I have to send original or photocopy of the police certificate.?

Am an October 2015 applicant, finally linked my application but telling me the same thing like everyone else:
Eligibility Review in progress, medical passed and everything else: not started.

So, this new system they introduced, is nothing more than a toy they gave us to play : @

Managed to link my account on the 1st try but tell me something I don't know: eligibility review in progress

i have the same status regarding eligibility on this so called ''NEW SYSTEM'' and everything else is not started except medical which is showing passed, this is frustrating!!
what is your status other than Eligibility?

you were applying for an fbi clearance at the end of may. did LVO ask for it? and did you get your clearance yet?

Nope, LVO never asked for that, I sent state PCC with my application but later on I found out that they usually require PCC from fbi so I ordered one about two months ago, just in case they aske me for that. I will get fbi PCC in two weeks inshallah, but I hope they won't ask for that!

I guess this is standard info for everyone right after the linking of application whose file has been tranfered to VO after SA and someone has to manually update every linked application.
On the status page, there are two options:
-view submitted application
- go back to main page
I clicked on view submitted application and it showed me empty list of submitted documents (as we all have submitted tons of that lol)
So hang in there guys, someone will update these info soon inshallah

I don't know what I'm doing wrong when linking my application. It keeps on saying we couldn't find an application...I left the passport Info empty, could that be the reason?

How to link your application to your MyCIC account

Since a lot of people will now ask this,

Step 1: Go to the following link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/link.asp

Step 2: Go down to and click on Continue to GCKey

Step 3: Login if you already have an account, if not sign up to the right

Step 4: Once you're logged in, go down to where it says link an existing application

Step 5: For the information, you're going to enter the PA's info (your sponsored spouse)

-Choose file number and family name, enter your file number and the family name of your sponsored spouse
-Then enter your sponsored spouse's place of birth, country, etc. Leave the passport info and the rest blank

Note: For members, you write 2 (your spouse and yourself), if you have no other dependants.

Then search for the application at the bottom and it should find your application. Once found, link your application and that should take you to the main page, where you can view submitted applications - check status and messages.
