I submit my application on 5 MAY 2016. Receive AOR on 25 MAY 2016. Upto now total days is 44 but still never receive Sponsor Approval. How many days it will take it to get as soon as inshah ALLAH???

Don't worry U'll get it soon iA.
I got mine in 2.5 months
And my lawyer told it's normal to get it within 3 months even.

Isn't interview done at last stage after background and security check? U had interview back in Jan why are they taking so ling for visa?

no they always conducting interview first then they check eligibility of PA when he passed eligibility then file goes into the background checks that's how they work

Good question but I don't know the difference between Routine Background checks and background security checks.

Dear Forum members,

Do you have any idea about the difference between Routine Background checks and background security checks.!!

Previously, MP advised that my file was under routine background checks and now after re-medical, MP advised that our file is under background security checks.

Any idea??

A security check consists of ascertaining whether or not an applicant has a criminal record, is likely to be a terrorist threat, etc. I am guessing that the visa officer who reviews an applicant's file looks at the police clearance certificate(s) he/she has submitted. But assessing the security risk that an applicant may or may not pose to Canada may involve more than just reading police clearance certificates. I don't know what else the visa officer does to fulfill his/her duties in this regard.

When a visa officer does a background check, he/she satisfies him/herself that the statements that the applicant has made about him/herself (name, family members, employment history, etc.) are true.

Can anyone pls guide me... after receiving the approval letter and the updates of medical received on ECAS i have not heard anything from the LVO and im quite upset and depressed since i am in Canada and my husband is in Pakistan, can anyone pls tell me when they can send a request or letter or if there's a way to reach them...?? Please

sorry to hear that... i am in the same boat. i know the wait is difficult but try to stay calm and keep praying.

we don't know when they'll be contacting you because it's difficult to tell what the trend is currently. please call your local MP and ask them to provide an update. they will then contact the visa office and get back to you within 1-2 days. go here to find out who your local MP is: http://www.lop.parl.gc.ca/ParlInfo/compilations/houseofcommons/memberbypostalcode.aspx?Menu=HOC

forgot to mention that you'll need to contact them at their "constituency address". also, it's better to call them because some offices never respond to emails. when you call, they will ask you to come into the office and sign a release form. it won't take long.
