this is what i found on checklist for my husband country


If you were married in a country other than Pakistan and Afghanistan, you are required to submit a marriage certificate issued by the local authorities of the country in which the marriage took place in addition to proof that the marriage is registered with the relevant Afghan consulate.

Both Nikhanama and court marriage are accepted by all visa office. But you have to tell them the reason of two different marriage certificate. I think there is no problem for this because visa office accepts both.

I received an email for interview today . But the dat is not doable for me. Now I have to email them to reschedul the date for sooner time. Is there anyone having the expirience of it? Do you know as an averge how long it takes to being approved after interview? Is it common to be asked to provide passport pictures?

If you have no urgent work, then I suggest you to attend the interview. If you cancel the date it is really impossible to tell you when visa office give you the next date. There are many applicants who are waiting for their interview date but they do not get the date. Do not take it easy matter and think about it seriously. If you will not attend the interview visa office will doubt you more. Now it up to you what you want to do.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is that I am in Canada and my Visa is going to expire Dec. 30. I am not sure that I can get my visa ontime to get back Canada. Also, I have a defense date for Mid of jan. lots of conflict

I also considered sending a well drafted letter to visa office (by email) explaining all such points logically (one by one) where the interviewer expressed negative opinion. But my wife has not liked my Idea. After your suggestion I am going to send a mail, finally.

Before that can i ask you some query Please.

Hope the visa officer has not yet decided negatively. Seems already late...but you never know!

If he didn't take updated forms etc. at the end of the interview, it would be more likely a negative decision as Farhana indicated.

However, give it a try! Let them give you a second chance upon receiving a comprehensive logically explained letter. This letter may be directed to general email boxes of SVO as well as to Mr.Tom Richter. You may even indicate at the end that if by now they already decided negatively, a second interview if scheduled would help them to decide positively as the marriage is for real and you are in genuine relationship.

There is a forum member here, ImABule reversed the interview decision by sending a letter to Mr. Tom Richter. It was a magic letter where he pointed out everything logically why their relationship is genuine. He provided many relationship proofs. You may seek assistance from him. He is such a wonderful person.

Most importantly your wife should take the prime role here by contacting her federal MP explaining everything and also write to SVO immediately as ImABule did as a sponsor.

hello all,
Please i need some help. So now my husband got an email requesting the medical exams. and they asked for supporting documents to be sent as well, for example proof of enrollment in university ( which I dont have yet as the deadlines is not until june 2017, im the sponsor), and they also requested proof that he is looking for job. But how would he be looking for a job when we are not even there yet? I dont know what to do? what should I send in this case? also proof of accomodation in canada. Well I have been living excusively in Lebanon and do not have a house in Canada, once we get there we intend on either renting an apartment or buying one depending the market. please advise me on what to do thanks.

My husband got a phone call from the embassy asking details about his work and education. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Hi Noor,

Things are moving in the right direction for you. Medical request is a positive sign.

They just want to make sure that the sponsor intends to move back to Canada on receiving PR approval of the spouse.

Send them a settlement plan with some evidences that the sponsor/applicant are communicating with prospective employers and landlords.
