Is there any way to get an update from vfs or svo? My lawyer is on vacation and I contacted vfs but they can't give any updates...

Dear Farhana,

I dont know why its taking that looking. Usually it takes about 2-3 weeks to get the passport back but its more than a month now. What do you think? Isnt it unusual???

I think waiting is the best thing. My husband one of collogue came last year Canada and he said that he wait for his passport 1 month 15 days. If we email Singapore I think the visa office may be reply our passport is in under process. So I think we have to wait for our passport at the end of this month.

Can you tell me when they send you interview email? I think it is natural when the visa office sends you interview letter or any kind of correspondence they inform you like that way. In your application status when you click may be you see like this-------------- “We sent you correspondence on June 1, 2016 about the decision on your application” But I need to know about the date of your interview email.One more thing the date you mention about correspondence is it June or may?

Congratulation for your success. You mention you learnt a lot of thing in this forum and it makes you success. I hope you don’t mind to share your experience and help those people who are pending for interview. To me sharing your interview experience makes other applicant interview easy. I know how painful the waiting time and face the interview in front of the immigration officer but if any one share his/her interview experience it helps to success other applicant interview.

Before my interview my application status is “IN PROCESS”. If I click there I see----------


1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 11, 2014

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledge receipt of your application September 8, 2014

3. We started processing application on September 8, 2014

4. Medical results have been received


After my interview and when the visa office received my re medical report my application status change. I see my status is “DECISION MADE”

If I click “DECISION MADE” there I see-------------

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 11, 2014

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledge receipt of your application September 8, 2014

3. We started processing application on September 8, 2014

4. Medical results have been received.

5. We sent you a letter on April 19, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


6. We sent you a letter on May 3, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


The 5 no when the visa office sent me re medical request email.


The 6 no when the visa office send me passport request email.

But the visa office did not update my interview correspondence in my application status. But in Sam application status the visa office update Sam interview correspondence.

If your application Status still “In process” that’s mean they update your interview correspondence.

If you have still any question or doubt you can question me. I will try to help you. I think the visa office update your interview correspondence. Sometime many applicant miss the email that’s why the visa office update when they correspondence. When the visa office correspondence they never mention in which purpose they correspondence the visa office only update the correspondence date. I think you should not worry about anything. Just prepare yourself for interview.

This is your top priority, isn't it! You can't wait 45 days to receive simple feedback from your MP's office. Either you call them frequently or visit them, email them. Those people are busy, let them know that you are in need of feedback on your immigration file. Right now for you MP is the most crucial person who can help you out. This is not a favour, it is your own constitutional right!

Can you share your application Status? If you click what you see in it? In your application status they update your interview correspondence date. Did your interview email date and update correspondence interview date same?

I never ask you to share your application status I just want to make sure that the visa office update juwelsingh interview correspondence. I think the visa office update juwelsingh interview correspondence. What your opinion?
