I just received an email about my wife's interview date. She will have an interview on May 10th at Canadian Embassy Dhaka. Here is a breakdown of her application.

Application filed March 2015
Reached Singapore May 2015
Received letter stating on interview list June 2015
Interview Date May 10 2016 (11 months Wait)

Just to let you guys know i poked them more than 10 times by sending different emails asking for the status. Emails with updated photos, visits, phone bills, Financial support receipts etc. I did those even though they said they will not accept anything before interview. I will post her interview question after her interview.

Hello Wasim,

Did you get your interview letter? In the interview day I went with my father. At first they gave me a form to fill it. That time they took my father interview. I was really surprise why they took my father interview. After my father interview they took my interview. In the last moment they said stay here, they come in few minutes. That time they called my mother-in-law. But they did not call my husband because my interview time is 1pm in Dhaka. Our 1 pm mean Canada time 3 am night. That’s why may be they did not call my husband. The most important thing is that they cross check every questions. Any way if you need any help tells me.Best of luck.

Yes my wife got the interview on May 02 @ 1100. I was thinking if they will call me at night or not. I have work next day. I think I should take day off just in case. I am surprise, they are setting up interviews in MAY. Mashallah you will have positive news as they kept your police clearance and forms. Please pray for us.

Dear Friends,

By the grace of almighty we got the request for medical today. My spouse had the interview on March 13, 2016 @ 1pm in Dhaka. They told my spouse to submit a letter from the doctor to the Singapore office and they will get back to us within 4 to 6 weeks after they receive the letter. They received the letter on March 21, 2016 and they issue the email on April 14, 2016 to re do the medical along with police certificate + IMM 5669 Schedule A and submit it to the Singapore Visa Office.

I totally understand how everyone is going through WHILE WAITING.... Trust me i filed the application in August 2013. So the "JOURNEY" was hard.

Please ask me anything regarding interview cause i spent so much time on it. I do check this forum frequently and I get updates on my phone. So I will be prompt to reply I PROMISE.....

Dear Wasim,

To be on safe side just take the next day off. IMO its always better to be proactive rather than reactive as it worked for me. Depending on which time zone u r, her 11 am will be ur 1am EST so anyways u wont b able to sleep cause it will take atleast an hour or so for her to finish all the formalities of the interview. I saw in this forum someone from vancouver got a phone call @3am in the morning so be prepared, nobody can tell you for sure.

Its good that they speed up the process and you are getting interview in May. Exactly how many months did you wait after you got the letter for interview. We waited 22 months. I hope nobody has to wait that long anymore....


Hope your spouse will have an easy interview and please please please make sure you both on the same page information wise and do some mock interview. There are atleast 1000+ questions in the forum and go through each of them which are applicable to your situation.

Luckily, I was with my spouse when she got her interview letter on february 17, 2016. Her interview was on March 13 and my return flight was also March 13th. Trust me from feb 17 till march 13 was the worst time of my life. I have anxiety issue and I panicked more than my spouse. I didnt even go to the interview and was in the airport waiting area Cause I dont want to face cross exam. I was ready to do it over the phone if needed but the interview was super smooth. Very basic, 15-20 minutes and thats it. I posted the whole interview experience here somewhere in March.

Sorry, it has nothing to do with you as I am very relieved today cause we just got the email from Singapore requesting to redo her medical. So looking forward to have the best summer of my life. And hope almighty will make it easy for both of you guys. Please do let me know if you have any questions.

My spouse had her interview in DHAKA and she got 3 weeks of notice. I can feel you but at the same time stay positive. Go through everything with your spouse and check this thread from PAGE 1. You will cover all the basics you need regarding questions. Most importantly make sure you and your spouse at the same page. And my gut feeling is, since they are giving you less time indicates your case is not complicated and they just want to cross check some minor details.
