Is it a good idea to bring in your interview preparation notes to the interview? Wife says no. I say yes.
If the officer(s) see the paper, it could be construed as coaching. That'd raise suspicion further and would likely lead to refusal.

That said, women are waaay better with dates then men.. that's from personal experience.. so she'd better get to studying ;)

I think the rules for interviews from the process guide set a reasonable tolerance for dates and minor details

Hi! I just got my Police Clearance and they require me to use my husbands surname. However I am still using my maiden name on my passport because I am working here in Singapore. The renewal of passport is difficult on my part and it will take a while to release the new one here in SG.Would they accept if I am using my maiden name on passport and my husbands surname on my police clearance?
Hello Avicon,

In the immigration spousal or any kind visa you should use your one name. I use my maiden name everywhere. Name is a very important thing because it is your identity and if you use different last name it will make conflict. So use one name with your every documents like

1. Passport
2. Your police clearance
3. your birth certificate.

If you change your last name after marriage then you will need to change your name everywhere like passport, police clearance and birth certificate.

Hello htquach,

Your wife can bring interview preparation papers with her in the separate bag but not with interview required documents. She can put the interview preparation paper with her if anyone will accompany with her , she can give the documents with that person when she entered the visa office. In my interview I took all the papers but I put all my preparation papers in my car.

Are you seeking some votes? Lol. Personally, it is not a good idea. It's like cheating.. :D :D :D Imagine yourself having a job interview and you are bringing prep notes, would it sound like a good idea? Definitely not! And you'll end up not having the job. Lol. As for the interview, just bring with you tons of confidence so you could answer the officer's question with sincerity and genuineness. The wife wins on this one, I guess.
Hello pvc,

I think Htquach is not seeking vote ,he just want to know advice from the members. Nothing is here cheating if you want to success you can do what is better for you. I bring all preparation paper with me and put it in my car and face the interview. Interview is very difficult for every applicant. It is not easy to show confident in fornt of the immigration officer because the officer want to confused applicant.

Hello profile,

You are right but I think no one here is foolish to bring his or her interview preparation papers with the interview required documents file. An applicant can bring the documents with her bag because when any applicant enter for interview purpose he or she can bring only interview required documents file bag other thing is not allow. I put my mobile and my purse with the security and I was only allow to bring my interview required documents .

Hello sjgolfer,

Hope you are OK. Last time they send you mail for your DNA test not in your email. But my question how you get your interview letter? Is it mail or email?Because when I first got my interview query letter they send me by mail address and later all thing like interview date, medical required and my passport request the visa office send me by my and my husband email.

I think it is your re medical request letter if it is not expired.

Thanks, Hasan! I was wondering what you think with this dilemma.. If my husband who's a Canadian PR would have to visit me in the Philippines for a month while the sponsorship is in process, would it negatively affect my application? Thanks again.
Hello pvc,

If your husband visit to you for a month in Philippine it will not affect your application. I read your previous post that you have 5 years relationship before your marriage and recently you are married. Try to keep all the communication proof and money transfer receipt which help you to proof your marriage relationship. You ask Hasan Vai---

Have you and your sponsor lived together?

Mention the date of your marriage and mention the departure date of your husband when he went back Canada. I hope you people live together after your marriage.

In my case I lived with my husband after my marriage .In the forum answer I mention my marriage date and his departure date Canada .I also mention in this time how we both spend our time together and where we go both together.

Hello Farhana, thanks for being so patient in answering my question. No, we haven't both lived together yet. Actually, I'm not sure if we have or have not, technically. My husband left the country two weeks after the wedding. But he came here 4 weeks before the wedding to help me with the final stages of wedding planning. So a total of 6 weeks we were together, and we stayed at our house with my mother and siblings. Is that considered "living together?"
Hello prvc,

yes you should mention the time because you have no choice and you have to write the truth. But living together is a important thing in this visa process. You husband should meet you and live with you 2 month or 1 month otherwise the visa office doubt in your marriage relation. If you don't mind how long you been get married and when will you want to apply?

In my case I have poor marriage proof because after my marriage within 4 month later my husband apply for me and in the whole 18 month visa process I did not send any marriage proof to the visa office and I faced the tough interview for my poor application. Later I know that I can send my marriage proof to the visa office but I am totally blind about this because in my interview letter the visa office mentioned that they will not received any documents from me accept address or email or any other change. But the visa office accept the documents that I know from this froum.

So try to keep all your communication proof and your money receipt or whatever you have.

Hello prvc,

It would be very positive in all respects and you must send them all proofs relating to the visit of your husband.

Farhana,

We just got married last June 2016. We want to submit our requirements before this month ends.

If you don't mind me asking, why weren't you able to provide proof of marriage with your application?

Thank you..
Hello Prvc,

I dont mind to share it. My marriage is arranged and before my marriage I know my husband 1 month and 22 days. After my marriage my husband applied for me within 4 months. My husband came to Bangladesh for marriage February2014 and return Canada April 2014 and apply for me June middle. I have 3 months (April, May and June) for marriage proof . When I apply I just send my---

1. Marriage and reception photo
2. 2 money transfer receipt (May and June)
3. some emails
4. honeymoon hotel receipt

Actually I have not so many marriage proof that time but later when my interview finished and after 1 month later they took my husband interview over phone and they required my money transfer receipt and insurance nominee letter. My husband send all those documents because that time my marriage passed two years and 2 month and I have enough proof to submit the visa office.

My application red flag is both we get divorce and quick re marriage.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know when it says review is required on your GMCS notes, is it like saying an interview is required? do they like review your app from scratch or is it just a formality and they will go as per last officer's review? They made a mistake on the GMCS notes they sent us regarding our date of mariage (even tho they have our mariage certificate on file) and it also says they have not received our CSQ which we did sent. I'm not sure if any of you have seen mistakes on your GMCS notes, but it's ridiculous. Because of these mistakes, it says review required. I sent a CSE with a copy of our CSQ, and i asked them to update the info on our file.
