They didn't mention any other issue... Their only concern is income.

I understand what you are saying, but this is someone that did my application when I moved here (as a minor), and did a spousal application for my aunt (which was my guardian), both which were successful. This person is the niece of my aunt's spouse. We asked her if she would help with the application, so being pretty much family, and we asking her, I don't feel comfortable now telling them "You were wrong on this, I don't want your help anymore". They have been very helpful to my aunt and uncle (whom I live with), so I don't want to create a bad relationship with them.

I think I will wait to see what answer she says she got from immigration, and if they are told incorrect information, I will then point them out to what says on the website.

I think you are overthinking this way to much! I think you have about 10 people here telling you not to worry PLUS CIC themselves via website!
You don't need to be mean with your family. Just listen to whatever they have to say but I would not believe it 100% given that they have already been wrong about a pretty important part of the application.
You need to get started on other more important things in your application like gathering all the relationship proof you need and legal documents and don't get hung up on this!
They are wrong. End of discussion. ;)

I finally sent the application package yesterday. We wrote a letter stating that we would be living with family for a while rent free and expense free except personal items, that if accepted my husband intends on getting a job as soon as possible, and that I am now studying x subject to help my future. Fingers crossed it's enough regarding this subject. I think I won't be able to relax until I am approved as a sponsor.
