hi everyone, I'm October 10 applicant, but i haven't gotten any news from IRCC ever since medical exam request in May.
Even some of November application are getting their SA or AIP. I wonder if there are any other October applicants at the same stage as me?
I am Sep 18th case and just got DM yesterday. Still wait landing letter. You should be ok.

I’m october 26. No news. But my friend who applied around November 30 already got an AIP today. Seems like we got skipped on.

Hello all,

I am October 5th applicant and haven't received any news yet either. On CIC says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.". We sent the medicals up front.

So, dont panic guys.. just be patient and dont compare yourself to November, September or even other October applicants. Each case is different and takes completely different times.

At least the persons we are sponsoring got their work permits for 2 years and they can work with no problem (which to me is the most important thing). PR will come when it has to come.

Cheers and good luck!

Thanks for info David, it's just the out of status, paper went in August and my Trv expired from June so it was 2 month out. I'm still waiting I do to know why the letter say " sent for further assessment" anyway I'm still waiting just DM on my sponshorship side, my PR side is still " in process"
When mine went from Mississauga to Vancouver it said "sent for further assessment" as well, all it means is We are too busy so we need to send it somewhere else haha. You should not worry! The out of status is not a reason to be rejected. All will be good in the end!

No. ‘For further assessment’ means something. Are you located in or near Vancouver?

I'll tell about our case. I ordered our GCMS on March 8th 2017 (it was actually the second time I ordered them). You get them like 30 days later, but the info is according to the date you ask them.
So, on March 8th 2017 our notes were stating that my eligibility as a sponsor was not started, that the eligibility of my wife (PA) was not started and I don't remember other details, but it was almost like nothing was started. Then on March 20th, we got SA and AIP. Then on March 21st we got DM. And we got these GCMS notes on April 8th or so.
So why do I tell you that story? Because you see that when they get everything they need (security checks were long for my wife), they process everything fast. March 8th notes showed nothing, and 13 days later we had DM.
So, don't stress with the process, it's just a matter of time.
Thank you for sharing your story. My notes activity part shows my security check hasn't started yet. Was yours the same?
On the last page, notes 1, updated 05/01/2018, it shows my passport expiration date and Police Cert: United Kingdom-no adverse police info pending.
It looks like there is gonna be a long wait :(

I don't remember exactly, but I think it was the same. If you are from UK, I would think you will not have any delay. Security checks are easier as Canadian and UK secret services cooperate on a daily basis. I sincerely expect your application to be finished on time around 12 months.

Hi guys!!
I haven’t been here for a few months, as there were no news to share. Now, I got my AIP LETTER today!!!! (I received rest for some additional docs a month ago, and only submitted them last night)

So now just a little bit more waiting left till DM!! Any October applicants got their DMs yet?
