If you haven’t left Canada since you last obtained your PCC, it should be just fine. I used one that was 3 years old, but I had been in Canada since. It worked just fine.

Yes. I reapplied without status and with passport expiring within 6months. Then when I got restored and have a renewed passport I sent them a copy and waited patiently for news.
Could you please share your timeline from the beginning?

Not sure about my original post. Here is my timeline in brief.
App and PCC submitted: may 2017
schedule A: June 2017
Med requested and submitted: Jan 2017
AIP: March 2018
SP: a week later; March 2018
Landing appointment letter: April 2018
Landed: 2 days later.
No worries, you can always edit your text.
I am July 2017 applicant and I did pass my medicals early April this year. I hope to get AIP in the next month.

I received my medical examination notice 2 days ago by email. Actually all i got was an email saying that: "You have a new message in your account for application:xxxxx". After logging into my application all my message said was:" Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E) - April 11, 2018"
I tried downloading the form but realized that Im supposed to get an email with a IMM1017E form with a number.
Is that correct? I did not get that email. What should I do? Should i email CIC? Which address should I send that email to?

i didn’t think you will receive an email. it’s in your mycic account. you have to click on the > to download it. what’s your timeline?
Our mycic account finally shows that medicals are passed. April 2017 submission. Its been exactly a full year. Now is the final stretch. Nothing to do but wait for that DM letter.
