I am afraid my application will return too, I have not attached 2016 NOA (because we have until the end of the month to send it), also I have sent the Marriage Certificate LONG FORM and as per what other users are saying is is not acceptable.

Well! It is a little hiccup to delay to your application, but we gotta deal with that... :(

we submitted my spouse's application on March 10th with :

- 2015 NOA
- Registered Long Form of marriage certificate

application was received, accepted and we received AOR. I am certain these documents are not the reason for the return of file.

My application was returned today. CIC agent highlighted the notice of assessment column on the checklist.
We submitted the notice of assessment for 2015 since my partner have not yet filled his 2016 tax at the time we submitted our application. . I'm wondering if they needed the notice of assessment for 2016 as the most recent tax evaluation or are they requesting for something else .
Someone help.

We applied with only 2015 tax materials. 2015 tax materials from the country I was living and a notice from the CRA that I was an emigrant.

Received AOR for both sponsor and PA, and nothing back yet regarding taxes. Did your partner submit anything from their employer stating wages, hours and status of employment? I have read on here across years of submissions that this piece is also equally important as the NOA.

Hello everyone,

Sent my wifes application on the 9th of february and received confirmation on the 16th of March.

They then asked for her background check after we linked the application.

Took us a while for it to finally arrive and to translate it. Now I have no idea where I link or send form 5669 and the background check.

When i log on to the online account it doesnt give me an option to send new forms in. Am I just blind or what am I missing.

Thanks in advance

I will add to that a bit. We actually did the linking of the application on March 22nd when my wife received the AOR email. With it was an attachement that said we were to send her background check by the 22nd of April. It says just submit it to cic portal.

On the portal under "Application Status" it tells us the "Background check - not applicable"

There is a question mark i can click there and it says

"In some cases, we need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to make sure you are admissible to Canada. If we need more information from you, we will send you a message"

Soo... not sure to link, and if so how to link. April 22nd is coming quickly.

Yes. It was the checklist that was highlighted. The agent highlighted starting from the part that says " Also submit the most recent Notice of Assessment " all the way down.
We have been able to get the notice of assessment for 2016. Submitted it back yesterday. The waiting stage continues "

are there no notes ? is it the checklist which has been highlighted ? i can see #5 under supporting documents, but this section says employment/source of support

Yes. That was the only thing highlighted on the checklist.
We assume they need the most recent notice of assessment since that was what they requested on the checklist. But we submitted the 2015 earlier. We already got the 2016 now.

This is bizarre! We submitted our app with 2015 NOA too! That was the most recent NOA for my wife, as 2016 is not tax is not yet filed!!!

Are you sure NOA is the only thing missing and the only reason for returning your app?

I guess it depend on when you submitted your application. Have u received the notice of assessment yet?

My application was received last week (Apr 13, 2017), but just in case I already requested our marriage certificate and filled my 2016 tax.

Whaaaat?!!! This wouldn't make sense! I'm pretty certain there was another issue with that application...

Well I agree with you, but I also know that everything is up to the Officer discretion. He/she will look into our files and decide whenever it is acceptable or not.

Contact IRCC visa a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp.

I would also attach a letter of explanation advising that you are not able to submit documents through MyCIC. Could be a tech glitch that they have to look into.

Ask them if you can submit the form visa CSE. if you do not receive a response within 10 days. I would go ahead and submit the form via CSE as pdf attachment.

The marriage certificate. I guess that is a top requirement but I also think the most recent notice of assessment also depend on the officer handling your file. They will use there discretion to decide about that. You might be lucky to get a better person.
All the best.

Thank you. I will try that? You dont think I should try to attach my forms the first time? Wait 10 or so days first for them to reply? Because my deadline is in 3 days..

Attach the forms. It might result in a delay, but there is no other way to send them...

Still no word from CIC about their technical glitch for me to upload Schedule A...

But mycic was just updated and my OWP was APPROVED. not even a month after having submitted my application! Luck of the draw I guess?

wow. I've got tears of joy.
