Question about Right of permanent residence fee. We were not made aware of this fee at the time of lodging our application and only paid for
Sponsor your spouse or partner (without right of permanent residence fee):Sponsorship fee ($75) and principal applicant processing fee ($475) and the work permit extension.
On the CIC website it says:
For most permanent residence applications, you need to pay the right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) when your application is approved. You will have to pay it before you can become a permanent resident.
You can pay the RPRF at the same time as your application fees to avoid delays. If we approve your application before you pay it, we will contact you to explain how.
I tried looking for a way to pay this fee now online but the only options are to pay this with the fees we initially paid when we first applied. Does anyone have any info on this, and how it can be paid? and if you are contacted after application is approved to pay it.
thanks
