CiC is on a roll with emails to us ... at 6pm this evening we got our last email indicating they were pleased to advise processing was complete and that the Ottawa office would contact us re landing.

Congratulations! Ottawa office used to be relatively fast to send landing invitation letters. I think it usually was 1-2 weeks after DM. The actual appointment is normally 7-10 days after receiving the letter.

I person I know 2016 applicant, he just got both DM and next month is landing interview.

Got a letter from CIC that my wife meets the eligibility to apply for permanent residence. Checked the status online and I see ‘Decision Made’ on both sides. Hopefully they will send us an invitation to land soon. Good luck to everyone! Hang on, we are almost there!

Congrats, finally you can relax. I'm Dec, 2016 after my medicals in Nov 2017 nothing else. I'm hoping the wait will end soon. Congratulations once again

We are still waiting on our landing invitation/appointment date from Ottawa as was advised in the email we received Aug 31. Hoping it will be soon as we delayed renewing my husbands SIN as he got the new OWP 2 days after the last email indicating processing was complete - now the banks asking for the renewed SIN # if not his account will be placed on hold so we may just renew in the interim.

I'm sure many who are waiting will start receiving word soon

Got an email from IRCC today that our file has been transferred to Etobicoke and they will schedule an interview for the landing. Feel so relieved. Almost 2 years, lots of uncertainties and finally some good news! Does anyone know on an average how long do they take to schedule an interview at Etobicoke?

Etobicoke is one of the slowest (busiest) office of the country. I'm reading the 2017 inland thread, and what I saw was usually 4-6 weeks for a landing appointment after DM. Soon.... very soon considering everything your journey will officially be over. I wish you that it happens as soon as possible.

Hello All,

Got an email from Etobicoke office this morning. They send us an invite to appear for the interview next Monday.

After 21 months our journey has finally come to an end.

I wish all the 2016 applicants still waiting for a decision good luck. You are almost there and its just a matter of days now.
