Has anyone who recently became permanent resident travelled to the US. some insight on the forms and procedures to obtain the proper visa

Re. Trumpugees, I agree with you on that one!

We just returned from talking to our MP who placed a call. Yep , the bottle neck is the security check. They really are trying the very best they can. So we all have to be patient. We have no control over this.

It's not 26 months. The official line, when every one applied was 26 months processing time. So, you cannot call to complain. But, realistically, they are still processing as fast as they can. It's Security checks that seems to be the delay recently (even for the last year it was this way).

I blame the Trumpugees.

thanks

we will have news soon too of our process we asked with our lawyer an explanation from cic
wait and see what they are going to say

even after DM.. there is more waiting.. i have been waiting for an landing interview from Etobicoke for more than 5 weeks...:(

Etobicoke is the busiest office in the country. Up to 11 weeks it can take to land there...

Most likely the same they told us. It never hurts to check though!
It’s undoubtedly a very frustrating process but in the end it will all be worth it! The best is to go on with our daily lives. Easy to say, but not much of a choice. : )
Wishing you the best of luck!

thanks

Yeah.. i called IRCC today and they say that their system shows 10 weeks waiting time.
I hope i can hear from them soon. I see quite a few people on the forum here got it around 4-5 weeks after DM recently.

Every landing is different. If your passport was expiring, or a medical, they might speed it up. If not, you wait like everyone else.

i understand that every landing is different.
I guess I belong to the group that time is "not that precious" since i don't have expiring passport, medical or WP. :(

It is not a matter of precious or not. Everyone is. It is an effort to try to avoid slowing you down, because they have to revalidate the admissibility of the person they stuffed into the queue.
