I have my landing interview on the 15th an advise ....... also wanted to check if the will help me get my permanent sin no. there or have to go to a diff office... i have it at 8:30 in the morning... i think i will be first.. @sylvain1.... @profiler

SINs are issued at Service Canada, not CIC. Some CIC offices do have a Service Canada on site. Some have them close by. Some don't.

I don't know where you're landing, so I can't comment. But Google maps can, and the landing officer can direct you.

No advice needed. Just relax. It's not an interview... it's like getting a driver's license.

My landing off is etobicoke...

as @profiler said, just relax. It's a matter of 5-10 minutes maximum, everything just go very smoothly. As Profiler also said, you new SIN, you will get in a service Canada office. You just go there with your CoPR (which will be handed to you at your landing) and it's also just a few minutes before it's done.

I called yesterday to get update. Client service Rep put me on hold and later told me everything is ok with my application. They don't need anything from me again. I passed my medical on Nov 17th. I have no AIP or nothing. He said I should just wait. Well if everything is ok whY haven't I got anything?

You're reading too much into "everything is ok". It means they haven't refused your application, and that they don't need anything from you yet. It doesn't mean that it's totally processed. It means, "just wait". It's in the processing queue still.

Ok thanks @profiler. Yes I am reading too into it. You hit the nail on the head. But the thing is you know the stress this daunting process put on applicant.
Thanks for your prompt explanation

Totally get it. Totally with you. I wish it was faster. I wish I knew where the escape hatch, or the "go faster" button was. Sadly, I don't. My advice here, is to try to find a hobby or something to distract you.... Christmas, if you celebrate it! What was your submission/AOR dates?

IRCC got the application on. Dec. 11st . Sponsor's AOR was Dec 20th and I received my Aor on Jan 3rd 2017. Started processing according to ECas on Dec 19th

Yeah they are still in November for now. But any time now! For us, it was 13.5mos from the day we sent it in; or just under 12 months from AOR. Recently they have slowed, because they are having trouble completing security screenings (they are done by an outside office). But, don't worry. Any time now!
