But CIC havnt contacted me yet. Also due to my parent's condition my mother has gone through surgey and they both are old. My wife visists to help with some chores and I mostly have to stay with my parents. But I stay with my wife too, its just that things are critical right now and we are working on it. I recently across this forum decided to post my concern here. There are so many nice people who help each other in this forum. Thank you so much for help guys. Its a bit stressful right now.

@profiler isn't one of those nice people... true story!

As I said, as long as "on paper" she is living with you (same address), unless they send an inland investigations unit out, they won't find out. If they call her, she has to tell them where she lives. What the inland investigators look for is evidence that she lives with you. Your clothing intermingled. Shoes. Tooth and hair brushes. Etc.

That said, I was just sharing the warning, so you are aware.

I hope your mother gets well soon!

Print the receipt and bring it with you. Shouldn't add any delay.

The call centre could add the receipt number to your file as well, if you're worried. At least, I think...

Quick question, once my husband completes his landing, he can get his Permanent SIN, therefor apply to university as a normal applicant not an international student and pay outrageous fees? or do we have to wait to have the PR card in hand?

At the landing, you will receive the CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). That should be sufficient to get the Canadian Tuition fees. At least, for my wife, a copy of the CSQ (certificat de sélection du Québec) and the CoPR was enough for the University.

Guess what? I actually spoke to a human being and the agent was surprised that my partner's landing was not yet scheduled. So he told us that he will inquire to Ottawa about our status. 11:45 AM today, we got an email.

Landing interview scheduled! Halleluja!!!!

My partner and I are scheduled on October 30th at 8:30 am!

I think we should have done this sooner and talked to an agent. LOL.
Congratulations!

To people who landed...

Do they stamp on your passport when you land in IRCC's office?
Normally not. But they did it for my wife, however they clearly stated that it was just as a souvenir and that it had no legal value.

Just landed today!

My timeline is

Application received: 2 November 2016
AOR: 28 November 2016
Open work permit: 2 March 2017
Medical request: 15 September 2017
Medical completed: 21 September 2017
Landing interview: today 25 October 2017

So all in all, the process takes me one year less a week. I never receive any sponsor approval, etc etc.

Although I'm very thankful that everyone has been helpful with their questions and answers, I'd like to thank profiler and polarvolcano in particular.

I'd like to update on the spreadsheet but I see it's been made access only. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats! The spreadsheet, you need to add your data to the "New Entry" page.
