So yesterday I received an email from Etobicoke confirming my date and time for the landing interview on 31 Oct. No sign of SA, AIP or DM email. I hope thats not something I should be worried about right now, even though ECAS is DM. - correct ?
Anything i need to keep in mind for landing interview. ?
Don't worry, ECAS is the most reliable so far, and you're not the only one reporting that SA, AIP, or DM is not received or delayed.
The most important thing to remember for the landing is: be happy! You can also take a selfie and you have to celebrate after! Really, just enjoy that wonderful day.

Almost a month of waiting for the landing interview schedule! Any tips on what to do? or should we still wait a bit? :)

If it was me, I would just wait for Ottawa. However, the sponsor could contact their local MP to see if there is some way they could look into scheduling this, as you've just been waiting. Otherwise, there is very little you can do, but wait.

Hey guys..

Hope more and more people are getting their DM and landing letter!

I have a question about urgent processing of PR card.

Is newly landed immigrants eligible to request urgent processing if someone meets the criteria?

Some people are saying it is only for renewal and some are saying it is for everyone.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that it's only for renewals. But you can certainly ask what to do at your landing. They give you a chance to ask questions.

I just received a letter from the CIC saying the photos I sent didn't meet the specfications for the PR Card. This is BULLS&*#. I went to a photographer who's done this plenty of times, and we triple-checked to make sure they met specifications. A friend of mine just shared with me that she had to resend hers 3 TIMES because there's some issues with the hollographic material they put over the photo....a slippage issue. She had to email the office of the Prime Minister and get them involved because 7 months later she still had no PR CARD!

Has anyone been through a similar situation?

I cannot believe this is happening. I want to cry.

Sorry to hear.

We just did the wal-mart photo studio -- asked for a passport photo. It was accepted on the first time sent...

I am going to upload the files for cohabitation proofs and FBI Certificate. Is it ok to upload 15 different files, as long as they are under 4MB total? I tried to turn the proofs into a Word but they look weird. I am thinking cohab letter + proofs (about 8) then US letter + certificate + time spent in US summary in that order. Would that work?

It should be fine. I have even heard of multiple submissions.

Received SA and AIP back in July . Medical passed a long time ago. Still no updates in Ecas or decision made letter. Is this normal ?

I don't even know what "normal" is anymore for CIC

we applied April 2016, got Decision made for Sponsor and the AIP letter (if that is what the letter that says "It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class...." is) back in June and since then nothing at all. Anytime we call the recording just says that the application is in process.

So yeah, I guess after SA and AIP it seems like 5 months later still waiting....... :(
