Hey @profiler, i checked ECAS this morning, and as you said, the status was changed to DM for both of us, no changes on MyCIC though. Next step is to wait for official email

I am shocked -- really! ;)

Congrats! It's 100% a positive result. Next will be their "DM" email to say you will be contacted by a local CIC office (Etobicoke, if I recall?) to schedule a finalization interview. Then an interview email about a week or so before they can land you. Then 61 days after that, there will be a nice shiney card in the mailbox.

Hey forum!

Just received DM letter stating Vancouver Office will be in contact!

................ sorry that I have been spreading bit of negative energy here but I guess its almost over now.

I really thank you everyone in this forum that kept me from going insane.

PS, any guess for a time frame for Vancouver office?

Congrats. I think they are 2-4 weeks (last I heard). But if your passport or medical will expire before then, they will give you priority.

Congrats. Kitchener is an easy office to land at. Parking leave much to be desired, though!

@Sam8119 You asked about NAFTA being re-negotiated before the end of the year.

I read that they are now scheduling longer discussion windows (like 10 days out of 14), and scheduling into February 2018.

Hi Profiler, Thanks for your detailed reply, could not come back to the forum earlier. Ya they are postponing sessions to 1st quarter 2018. I am guessing by next round we will have inkling of what is going to happen in 2018. If they succeed, gr8. If not, I m pulling out my investments. Funny as it is, CAD is gaining strength and stock markets on both sides of border are doing great, barring of course Bombardier, but after the Airbus deal, guess they are also going strong lol :)

So yesterday I received an email from Etobicoke confirming my date and time for the landing interview on 31 Oct. No sign of SA, AIP or DM email. I hope thats not something I should be worried about right now, even though ECAS is DM. - correct ?
Anything i need to keep in mind for landing interview. ?
