Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I called CIC today and it says they are processing applications received before September 19, 2016. Looks like it's moving fast.

You will probably see movement near the end of October... until then, there likely isn't much going on. Medicals are processed outside CIC.

I wouldn't let it bother you. The call centre usually doesn't know what's going on. What was your submission date again? Sorry, my remembery is bad -- getting old sucks!

It seems like they slow down to working on the applications who submitted on AUG/JUL/SEP. they started my background check almost 1 year after theyve received my application.

It's not abnormal. Not to worry. Mine was started over a year after I had submitted but once they start dealing with your file it's finished in the matter of days and sometimes hours.

You've only just surpassed the 12 month period however since you applied in August, you're still apart of the old system which was 26 months. Not to worry though, you'll be finished in no time. Believe me.

I am very happy to report that we received Applicant Eligible to apply on Sept 13, followed by my Spousal approval to sponsor Sept 14, and now this morning an email informing us of the Landing Interview to be held Sept 26, in Vancouver. I mailed the Inland application September 26, 2016, and received first acknowledgment Oct 3. Medical had to be redone in August as the first was expired.

good luck, we are April 2016 applicant and still going on, I understand the extreme frustration

Her mom wanted her to get a Mini Cooper (truth be told -- I did too; but only a manual gearbox!). She wanted something simple and cheap to run. So, she went for a Focus. My parents have always had one around, for more than a decade. So she decided that was better for her.

She won't drive my Charger -- hood is too long. For someone still learning, that can make parking problematic.

I got my landing interview. It will be in 12 days. Thanks guys for all the support

Hang on you will get through it. I am a December 2015 applicant. It will all be done in 12 days for me. It's so surreal
