Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Does anyone know how long we have to wait to hear from them after they get additional docs they've requested?

April 15, 2016 they received the application
May 24, 2017 they requested some additional papers (30 days to do so)
June 1, 2017 - full approval
June 14, 2017 - we've submitted online all the papers they've requested
July 24, 2017 - we've received an email saying they forwarded documents to the appropriate office

And nothing since then. I've tried calling (I'm the sponsor) but they said since I've been approved as a sponsor I have no longer the right to request on my husband's application status.

I'd appreciate any thoughts here. It's been taking an awfully long time. It's very-very hard to even talk to anyone and when they do, they are extremely rude and they actually hung up on me today

30-60 days is typical from when they tell you that they have attached it to your file.

No, that's actually the normal order, first SA (in ECAS, it's shown as decision made on the sponsor side), then AIP, then DM (which will be shown as decision made on the principal applicant side in ECAS). The time between AIP and DM is variable, but according to the stats in the spreadsheet it's about 1/3 chance to get DM within 2 weeks after AIP; for others, the average was about 60 days the last time I checked.

Not for a Canadian. PR sponsors have to remain in Canada. PR applicants generally shouldn't leave, as there is no way to know what will happen at the border when they try to return.

Hey I am july 2016 applicant as well (AOR in Aug 2016), according to the spreadsheet, people who got AOR in August/September is landing.. and a lot of July/Aug is still in AIP..... You and I probably share same timeline...I am still waiting for DM after getting AIP as well.

I called CIC if I need to renew medical, but they said it is valid until sometime in 2018 lol which I do not understand how... but, call them and ask if you need renew your medical.
