And for clarity, my Permenant Residency application was recieved on Sept 14 but the email I got regarding my OWP was oct 26

That letter states clearly. You were out of status. So they will either refund the money, or issue the OWP when you reach AIP stage (should be soon for September 2016)

Ok, thank you. Will this have a negative effect on my PR application at all?
My brain is scrambled from this stress I guess. Such simple things I misread or forget. You are surely much appreciated on this board.

No, you don't need to have a valid status to get PR in the spousal sponsorship category. It's just that they won't process your work permit until you get AIP.

Flattery will get you everywhere.

Funny enough, Canada does have the idea of a "status", but inland PR applications who are out of status, are assessed in the "Public Policy" -- kind of like a courtesy to your Sponsor. They will ignore your status (your status is not the primary reason to refuse). So, don't fret. You'll be fine.....albeit bored without an OWP :(

Or visit. Almost always.
I always drop in. But I have never spoken directly to my mp. It's Andrew Scheer. He used to be the speaker of the house. His gov't was in power. Now he's opposition mp. Running for leader as what's his face stepped down. I been to the office many times. It's a few minutes away. But he gets debriefing of visits from constituents.

Yeah, in our case it's Marwan Tabarra. (Lib). He's a new kid on the block, but very immigration centric. His office has a fantastic record for helping.

Visits or calls are always a higher priority. Emails are only addressed when they have time (not in the phone or greeting visitors).

Hi guy I submitted my application in june 2016,
AOR =July 2016
Meds request March 2017
Police certificate April 2017 (was included with application but send another one anyways)
SA=July 2017

On this thread most people saying they receive AIP at the same time with SA
Is it normal that the AIP comes at later date ?

Hi all,
Something weird that just happened, I have been calling IRCC call center for the past few days trying severally and have not been able to get connected. Just now I decided to use the citizenship route and it actually said the same thing, 'we are experiencing a high volume of bla bla bla'
I was actually shocked cos I that route would surely get me connected. Guess I was wrong.

If just on the sponsor side, that means sponsor approval. When you will see also decision made on the principal applicant side, then you'll be done and waiting for a landing appointment. Still, you start to see some movement and it can go fast from that point. Congratulations on your SA.
Is it long to get dm on principal applicant side
