Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hi Folks!

I just received the request for my medical exam. Was hoping some of you may be able to tell me what to expect at the exam and/or offer any advise or your experiences. Thanks!

Mine was easy,, Chest xray, blood test for STDs and if you have high sugar a blood test for kidney function,, we talked about any previous issues, listened to my heart and lungs, did eye chart,, and was done had me touch my toes and my nose... If your near Kitchener let me know ill give ya a damn good doc to go see, He is awesome !!!

No I think it has much more to do with security checks done in collaboration with other countries. The agent makes a decision based on the evidences he has in front of him, he doesn't have to think over several months, the decision is quite fast to take once he has everything in front of him.
The call center is good only to know if anything is missing from your side and to get the status of your application (if you ask very specific questions). Other than that, they are known to have very limited knowledge of the process.

With the timeline you have, I would definitely recommend the sponsor to seek help from the MP. No guarantee that it will unblock, but you've got nothing to lose. Either it will have no effect at all, or it will finally move.

We were also August 2015 applicants, and at some point we also felt left behind, but it finally came to the end. SA/AIP/DM came within 24 hours in March 2017 and my wife landed on May 26th, 2017.

I want to give an update. We asked our Federal MP to ask about the status of my file since my representative was not giving us any. The MP got back to us within minutes. We called the rep and told him some docs were missing on the file and he said he will forward them. Thank you for this recommendation.

Hope we get out DMs soon! My security check was started July 4th. You should call CIC and ask when your security check has been started so you can at least establish expectations!

I think background check is completed when we receive AIP, is that correct??
