Apparently we are not out of the woods yet!

Going to be a fun night.
I hope everything will be fine! We are on a severe thunderstorm watch for more than an hour, however not much happened here. But tomorrow, we're attending an outside marriage... the forecast is 90 percent of rain... I hope the rain will not include all the storm's occurring tonight in your area!

Yeah we'll be fine. The night tornados are scary. Which is what people are presently reporting in the region. I don't know why they dropped the warning, as they are actually happening.

I hope you don't get any rain -- outdoor weddings suck when you have mushy ground! We can take the water for you :).

Edit: Round 3 just outside of Waterloo now, with rotation in the atmosphere :)

All huff and no puff here. 90km/h winds reported and I do have nickel sized hail on my deck.. But I think that's the best the micro-burst storms have for us tonight.

I can share a link of an image of a funnel cloud forming by the Uni I used to work for in Waterloo, if anyone is interested to see.

I'm not a big tennis fan, but Denis Shapovalov is having quite a week! I'm not following tennis normally, but when an 18 years old Canadian is winning against Del Potro, then Nadal, you certainly got my attention! He won again tonight and will play in the semi-finals!

I could never get into watching Tennis or Golf -- but if you have people driving cars fast, with or without constant left hand turns, I could get into it. Also World league hockey....

Edit: Here is the image near the Uni I worked for last year. The all-lit building is the library (note the funnel cloud forming; another mini-nado was spotted in that area shortly after):

Congrats on 8K!
Golf... I really just can't watch without falling asleep, that's really not my sport! Tennis, on rare occasions. I like to watch the Jays, curling, and hockey.

And I'm interested in your link to the funnel cloud.

Hey thanks. I posted the image above. Apparently there was a bunch of twisters hit ground outside of the region too. Lots of pics being posted. Env Can will be busy tomorrow confirming them all.

I can't handle baseball either...

EDIT: Thanks for tuning into the profiler weather channel -- looks like we just have your routine severe thunderstorms now.

Because these storms head from west to east, my sincerest hope that all is OK out in the west (London area -- @meaningful1 I am looking at you...). We're totally fine here. The power didn't even threaten to go out.

ok, I lied... one more.

A pic from my home town from about 2 minutes ago. I did not take this, but it's < 2km from me.

so for me I am thinking...change to my married name on SIN and MCP and leave maiden name on PR and Passport and deal with those later when the Passport needs renewal

My thoughts excactly! We will get Canadian passport with our married name in 2 years anyways :)

OMG, this looks horrible! Stay safe!!!

We're fine. The lightning seems to have subsided... it's already made it to Mississauga/Toronto from here anyway. It was an amazing shot though -- that bolt turned night into day :).

The best I can report is some hail that was on my deck, lots of noise, but nothing else. Looks like Kitchener and north of Waterloo got more though.

Wow! I like lightning and thunder, as long as no tornado comes with it!

When I saw how close it was, and what I saw when the storms raced through, I couldn't help it. That summed the night up. Very turbulent. Very, very fast moving. It also got really cold fast.

I still haven't heard from @meaningful1 ... Hope his sump held up during those storms!

Submitted our Inland Spousal October 2016, sent PCC and Medcial with it. Work Permit arrived in Feb 2017.
Received an email message yesterday to log in to MyCIC, no message just a Medical Form attached.
MyCIC says Medical received, regardless of what it says my husband is having his second Medical today.
I had started wonder if the first medical had expired as it is way over a year old.
If all goes well, I believe we could be under the 12 month landing.
Thank you Forum, you have kept us sane. We started applying in 2014, under the Skilled Program from Australia, then an attempt to do Grandparent, both times applications returned. It has been better to have my husband move to Canada and sponsor from here, especially now with the OWP program, being with him being allowed to work for the year and half it took to get our act together was tough. But, all good now. Fingers crossed we are still on the right tract, thank you.
