Copy paste:

  1. We received application for permanent residence on June 21, 2016.
  2. Medical results have been received
Yeah July 07, 2017 CIC asked husband for a new medical exam, RCMP fingerprint police check and a new copy of passport (because it has expired)

The call in information from CIC states what I have said above:

"we are checking whether you meet the elgibility requirements," "your medical results were successful","we are processing your background check," no other documents required, you do not need fingerprints at this time, you do not need an interview."

And you submitted the passport, ya? You'll be looking 30-60 days to the time that they received the passport ... but if I was a betting man -- and I have been accused of worse -- it's *likely* that AIP has already been issued. You might not have seen the message in your inbox, but valid: medical, passport, and security clearances are required when they seek to grant a PR. So, I'd almost put money on a silent AIP here (where for whatever reason you didn't get a notice).

Thank you for the link, I really wasn't sure about that.
There is no need to inform CIC of a new employer during the spousal sponsorship, so I would keep quiet about it anyway.
Thanks @sylvain1 and @profiler.
I'd be quiet about my working but just to know, do CIC people typically ask about employment status at landing interview??

No. It's not relevant for them. They always ask if you committed any crime in Canada or anywhere else, if you have ever been denied to enter in Canada, if you have any dependents that are not listed already.

You applied for spousal sponsorship, right? Employment for either doesn't matter in this class at all.

Good morning everybody!

Finally the landing date has arrived. Have an appointment at the landing office in sometime.

Carrying my passport (s), work permit, driver's licence and two photos.

My sponsor would be carrying PR card, passport and driver's licence. (Sponsor photographs not required, I presume?)

Will update you all once done.

Congratulations!
no, photos are for the PR card, so the sponsor doesn't need to bring photos, just ID.

Did you wait, or decide to contact your MP? Kitchener is usually pretty quick, and they will group people on Friday mornings (it seems). @GuyanaGirl was the only case I know of that wasn't within the week of DM...

We didn't contact the MP

Maybe ours took another week since we didn't pay RPRF upfront. When we got DM letter we paid it and sent a copy of the receipt to Mississauga.

But yeah invitation was 1 week after DM letter

Same as me when I got sa we paid rrpf

Oh, I can say good things about Bell, I can admit they have a reliable service, they have a very good coverage for mobile phone even in remote areas, they usually have good conditions for their employees,... But for me, the end of post is what really matters.
I can say a couple of things myself. . . they pay my mrs well, they have great benefits that I participate in, but , they are expensive. . . mobile bill expensive, we don't even have cable service di
Woo hoo! Guys, it is official now. Would be landing in 2 weeks time by God's grace. My letter just came in via email. @Meaningful, do check your email as yours might as well be sitting there. Thank you so much guys. My God is an awesome God.
I checked my email, nothing as yet but I will certainly check again

It seems like the typical timeline for Kitchener. When you do go there, I would suggest:
- Park at the KPL underground lot on Queen Street.
- Once COPR is in hand, walk down to Service Ontario -- they are usually not busy at this time of day (~9am). Get OHIP sorted. (that took us <10 min)
- Then head to Market Square (right across the street from the court house and CIC). On the main floor, they have a Service Canada office there. You can take the COPR here to get her a SIN. This office was the slowest (as they handle EI there).
