another day another disappointment of no progress :(

wasted my time phoning the CIC, got a recording that basically didn't tell me anything other than "medical results successful, we do not need any documents, we are processing your application" "we are experiencing high call volumes and cannot transfer you to an agent"

April 2016 applicant, one of those months that seems to have been skipped and forgotten about :(

Mathing never lies... I feel badly how far you have to go... yikes! Our landing was 9 km radius from where we live...

Aw I don`t mind a quick trip to Calgary at all! :) I will go for the appointment, have a nice visit with my cousin and maybe look for a new laptop for my wife! :)

Well the 31st of July, my 6wk mark of waiting for landing letter per the agent at CIC, has come and gone and no letter :(
However, based on information in this group, I took a chance and took my DM letter to the motor vehicle department and was able to have my drivers license reinstated! So Im a happy camper today :)
I think I can manage to be patient a bit longer for my landing letter, lol.
Its the baby steps getting to the end that are making such a difference right now.

I'm sorry that you have no news yet, but honestly, I don't think that any months were skipped. At least, the information available on the 2016 inland spreadsheet does not suggest that any months would have been skipped. Some applications are longer to process although they might look very straightforward, we were one of those that took much longer than others. We will never know for sure, but it was likely the security checks that were longer to do for my wife. But in any case, you are not helping yourself being that negative about the process. Just enjoy your everyday life and sooner or later, you will get your PR. It's only a matter of time!

I know! I fully understand his/her feeling, but I also know that the truth is that we don't help ourselves by being negative. It is indeed sometimes frustrating, but there so much more to enjoy in our everyday life. It helped me when you told me and I hope it will help him/her.

It's truth. When you dwell, it begins a cycle of negativity... It can be very hard to break that... Which in the end will just result in unnecessary emotional baggage... I don't think CIC is worth carrying that baggage. Most everyone will be successful...

Visitor status is valid for 6 months only. I have multiple visa and I have to leave before 6 months ot apply for extension.

They will process the case as public policy... So I wouldn't leave. If they refuse re-entry, that can be a big problem

But they are doing their job and they have to wait for cis and RCMP to clear them and some many checks with the original country police and intelligent plus interpol

Expect to land and get a PR. 3 simple non-test questions (convicted of a crime in Canada or anywhere, dependents not listed in Canada or ahywhere, denied entry or asked to leave into Canada or anywhere". Then you get a COPR document.
Thanks
