When i applied i already knew i wouldn't get a work permit because i was way out of status,
Hey guys, can ones spouse call cic and make enquiries on behalf of the applicant?

I had the same issue and I had to complete imm5476, and uploaded. It took 30 days before the acknowledge after which she was able to access information on my behalf

The Use of a Representative... best thing I did for my wife's file (she never called CIC)...

What is the typical timeline for transition from SA, AIP to DM? How long does it take? I really would like to travel soon as I have a valid trv. Just want to be over and done with this process.@Sylvain, Profiler and anybody who has a clue.

From the stats in the spreadsheet: it's about 30% of chance to get DM within 2 weeks after AIP; for others the mean is about 2 months.

Congratulations! Wow, that's quite fast for Etobicoke!

Probably only minor. They'll see the change, and your note that you had a baby, and their move on. It's common. There also isn't a change to sponsorship Approval, as there is no financial change.

Just make sure to bring the birth certificate to the landing, just in case they didn't get it added to the file in time. They do ask if there is any dependents not declared... If you're unsure if your son was added in time, advise them that you'd tried to add him...born as Canadian won't be an issue..
Thank you sooo much!!! I know I haven't really been waiting too long, but its so frustrating your always worried things are gonna get pushed back and cause months of delays! :(

SA to AIP is generally fast, unless there is a document request. AIP to DM is variable, based on the final checks (security, etc).
