I think you should definitely get in touch with IRCC and do a status inquiry with them. The wait for our family has been dragging on as well, but once we got DM on the sponsorship end- everything started moving at a fast pace. We got DM for the sponsor and first approval all in the same day, with a med request, etc. We just turned in the medicals last week and today I looked- it shows we passed our medicals. I am hoping the rest of this process goes just as fast and we can get our final DM and our landing papers. I honestly am unsure how much time it takes at this stage....but we are soooo excited. If yours is going months, that seems unusual to me. Good Luck!

Just an update. I logged onto CIC today and saw that my account had been updated. There was a message that we passed our medicals. Soooo, I am thinking we are getting closer now! Yay!!!!!

Update:

Requested for rescheduling landing interview date at the beginning of July, and they made it rescheduled just 10 days later. The new date gonna be this Thursday, July 27. Should thumb up to CIC's working efficiency. Much faster than before.

Pediatricians office. They had a breast feeding consultant there that we were seeing... She requested it... The ped walked in, "hold him down"... Whips out a scalpel blade.. quick tap and put him right to feed. Said it will be fine, only a little blood and breastfeeding worked from then on.

do you see decision made on both side on ECAS?
if yes, that won't be long. You'll get a DM letter and a landing appointment letter.
If the principal applicant side is still in progress, then the security check are probably not finished and the timeline may vary quite a lot.
