I deleted my post, because it was again mainly repeating what you already said.
But in the case of my wife, they really took and kept all her study permit (expired and current).

Why delete? It was correct :).

It makes no sense to me to take them -- she paid for them! Are they worried that she would start manufacturing fake ones or something??

In our case, they didn't even ask. It was literally:
- Take passport; make funny comment WRT it's origin. Ask us to sit.
- Call us up and give back passport.
- Validate COPR details.
- Me begging to give them my ID -- because they didn't even pay attention to me even being there....bastards....
- Answer me, these questions 3, if the other side ye shall see (Monty Python!).
- Sign, date, questions and answers. Selfies with the Canadian flag, then leave.

Come to think of it....it did feel like an old bank
or the US visa office in Toronto when i was there last

I believe this is because of the vaulted ceilings

You bet. Also, don't stress about the questions. My wife was nerve-wracked until they started asking the questions that I told her they would ask.....then she started laughing.

AND -- MOST IMPORTANTLY -- YOU NEED A PARTY!

Best of luck, tomorrow![/QUOTE

Thank You !! :-)

Hi Good people,

got confirmation from CIC that:
RCMP attached to my file on June 30,2017,
Passport attached to my file on July 6, 2017.
Both docs I submitted on May 17, 2017.
while talking with CIC agent over phone she mentioned you passed
everything and we are just waiting for those requested papers.
As a result, I thought I will hear something soon but still no update. SA approved on May 10.
any guess why it is delaying?

It's because the officer(s) looking at your file have yet to pick it up again. As I have stated in other posts about this, when you send a file to them, it will take about 60 days to hear anything back. They need time to attach the file, then it will take additional time to come back to your file to review what you sent. As you are still reasonably close to the 60 day time, I still contend that this is what is happening.

i read that in a russian accent ....basically the Russian accent and voice of Red from Orange is the New Black.

Think the pursuit of the "Red October" submarine....

Or Pootie from SNL.

So, looking at the time, I'd say, "Houston, Mr @browning911 has landed."

BUT -- I don't have any evidence to prove this theory....

Keep us posted on when you get a decision made! I'm in a similar boat. Sponsor approved on June 28th, additional proof of relationship uploaded June 29th.
