Good morning everyone. Just signed up as I have been watching everyone's posts for the last few weeks. Cic received our application Aug 23rd, 2016. AOR on Sept 21st. We did upfront medical and upfront police check. We applied for sponsorship, open work permit and PR at same time. Owp received in November 2016 i think. Children that are not accompanying medicals requested June 1st. Medical has changed to passed. I don't understand the AIP. So not sure if we have that yet. Applied to mississauga. I have not received a SA as of today.

Your timeline seems to be inline with others. AIP is a letter that usually comes after SA (it says you are eligible to apply for permanent residence). This letter gives you the ability to (in a couple provinces) apply for health care...

The CIC website used to state that even if the application was processed within 26 months, that the AIP was done within 16. Has anyone else ever seen it? It's not there anymore but I'm 100% sure it was on the website
It's not on the website since December 2016. I KNOW IT!!!! Because, that's exactly when we reached the 16 months mark and we couldn't complain of anything related to SA/AIP, because the processing time for AIP was not longer publicly released. That was driving me crazy!!! Until @profiler calmed me down. Indeed, there are much more important things in life, my wife was with me, living a normal life,... The extra money needed to maintain a private health insurance didn't worth being angry for several weeks/months.

And we have some big names (the outlets) here too... eg: Bluenotes. I remember one gift card for $100 on boxing week bought almost an entire wardrobe (something like 4 pairs of jeans, 3 shirts, etc).

I also have to mix it up, so La Senza is also usually on the list (bras in North America fit better and are "more comfortable"; or so I am told).

I mean, La Senza is good BUT she should try "Aerie"
Yes yes, it is am American Eagle lingerie store BUT, the quality is phenomenal and comfortable

wow...from politics to random rants...to ...lingerie ?
Best thread ever :D :p:cool:

Oh -- whoops -- I only saw the 26th months and started typing.... that's what I get for trying to work and answer!

Yeah they told him that too. And that it was inoperable (but no need to remove, as the brain somehow corrected the issue itself). The Neurologist in charge of the regional Neurology clinic (from Grand River Hospital) is apparently renowned and teaches Neurology-related topics at UWO.

The brain is fascinating.

So it took you how many months total to land?

As to the lingerie.... I dunno -- Christmas is coming... We'll see.

As to when the stroke was.... uhm... 2010? I think? Maybe 2009? It was the day my friend got married... I was called while I was on the 401 parked headed eastbound -- staring at Pearson... and I still had to at least drop my ex off (she was photographer) before I could turn around to head to CMH... By the time I got there, my family was all already there and he was stable. They were prepping him for CT scan (after the nurses yelled at him for not getting help sooner).

IRCC removed that (SA in 16 months) a while back after they made the commitment to be done by December 2017.

Thanks, an agent also confirmed that. You also meant AIP and not SA lol.

Both are true statements here. Of the top 55 most "advanced" economies in the world, 54 have universal health care.
