Total tweetstorm in progress...

Apparently he can't do anything but watch tv and tweet bravo-seirra claiming he has no time for tv.. I think the trolley has fallen off the tracks

same here, nothing at all, just read in the forum a topic called "rejected", the people there seemed legit and they got rejected because the officer decided not to believe them, that must be hell, I would go insane if we get rejected... this waiting with zero communication from cic is horribly stressful

The majority of inland applications have positive results. Outland application have higher rejection rates.

>95% and I only recall one case since I joined CV.com that was inland.

@dominicantiguan keep in mind, they start the BG check early on (pretty much once the file has been created). So, you likely won't see it happening. And in MyCIC it doesn't ever change again, until after landing.

Got it. Maybe they change the status late? I'm pretty sure Mycic only showed background check in process recently

One more question to the forum. When is it a good time to get the MP involved?

MyCIC is flakey. I don't trust anything it says.

MP is only useful if something is wrong. Is something wrong?

I was approximating from what I'd seen... But 91% is a good answer... Did you strip off a mantissa, or are we dealing in wholes?
Sorry profiler, I don't understand the meaning of your last part (Did you strip off a mantissa, or are we dealing in wholes?)

Trump's lawyer is on CNN right now... I burned my mouth laughing (hot covfefe). Chris Cuomo (A lawyer, btw) just had a legal argument with Trump's lawyer, on air. And shut down a line who this his lawyer was trying to sew.

#Priceless.

Ouch...

Go Chris!!!

No, you still have the 3 months waiting period. But in Québec (I don't know for Ontario), showing CoPR before receiving the card would have change something on the card (I think the expiration date). We called RAMQ the week after my wife landed and they said we cannot do anything now because your card is in production today, but they told us, it doesn't matter, it doesn't change the services covered or anything, the change will be made when you renew your card next year.

Yes, the wait is still 90 days. The update takes them about 15 seconds to complete. They pull up the account, click a button, punch a hole in your OHIP card, and print a paper that is to accompany the card when you use it. A few weeks later, they ship a new card.

You're drawing on my health informatics days now.... In Ontario, the cards have exactly the same numbers for the person, for their life. There is two letters at the end of the card number. This is called the "Version Code". That version code changes, once a new card is issued, or a "fundamental change" to the account occurs. It also doesn't change services covered. But, it's considered a fundamental change (temporary to permanent).

Gracias amigos!

9.9999 0.9999 is the mantissa. 9 would be the whole. Engineering precision -- remember :)

Prepare to hit the ground HARD.

What do they ask for when doing the background & security check ? And how long after do you land?

BG happens in the background and starts when they have enough information that they can begin. The source is typically Schedule A (IMM 5406) ad your General Application (IMM 0008?? I think??).

Security they deal directly with intelligence agencies also based on what they have learned about you.
