Hi Everyone ... the Pilot Open Work Permit Program is set to end in December 2017 . When would you all recommend someone to apply by for PR and OWP

It's still a pilot? It's nothing but a cash generator! It has been wildly successful since 2013! I would apply as soon as possible. That said, if they do decide to discontinue the program, as long as it's received the day before they stop accepting applications, then it would be accepted.

There is a 100% chance it will continue.

Hi everyone!
Hoping someone could help me. Am uploading my Police check into my cic account and its asking a couple questions I'm not sure of...

Document name: Which I'm assuming Police check
Document Number: Which number would this be?

Issue date: Would this be the date i got my police check?
Expiry date? Not sure what date this would be

Any information would be appreciated!
Thanks!

You can also attach it to your file by using the webform (CSE): https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-...68.1308819716.1499220266-155151378.1496779290

You'd still have to describe what you are attaching, but they won't require that information.

Have you looked at any of the paperwork yet? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

If you look in my signature, there is a link to another post I did that explains how to fill out to the Open Work Permit (OWP). You pay for both (and send the receipts with your package) and they will send them to the appropriate offices.

Thanks Profiler,
I am having problem downloading the application forms. Its not opening on my adobe PDF even after i have updated it. Any suggestion on how i can resolve this thanks

Save the pdf (assuming windows or linux, you can right click on the link for the pdf's, and click "Save". Then you can open it with Adobe Acrobat. Browser extensions for Chrome/Firefox/IE/etc are out of date for the PDF's that CIC is releasing. If you have a mac, then I can look up the instructions to do the same...

Hey Profiler,

Sorry, me again. Thank you for all the information that you gave me.

I called CBSA up last week, the agent told me to be back to where I landed and give them the paper for a stamp (BSF-186).

However, they rejected me again and told me to cross aboard to the state to see the customs. Again, I called CBSA, they said it was my problem as I didn't hang out the paper on the day that I landed. They may not give me a stamp on the paper.

Do you have any ideas about it? Or you think I should give up and just pay tax for my personal belongings?

Again, thanks!

Did you explain to the first person that you applied inland? Sounds like you called the CIC call centre!

In terms of goods, are we talking furniture, or are we talking clothing, jewelry, etc?

Good luck for all,

Congrats! SA is sponsor approval.. AIP is when the principal applicant receives the eligibility email which is usually sent after SA.

@sunset66_71

It's also happens when they have reviewed a case and don't require additional documents to proceed. So, in this case, they had enough to just finalize AIP (and probably DM -- unless they needed to do a medical; if they check ECAS now).
