Well, mail usually takes no more than 3 days from coast to coast... BUT we know that CIC's mailroom is a busy place. We really don't need it until August 8th, but it would certainly be nicer to have it before then. If not, I will just send her to Moscow with her COPR and tell her to get a PRTD. Otherwise she would end up marooned outside of Canada (her visitor wisa expired May 17th -- though technically both that and her OWP expired May 5th when she became a PR -- you cannot possess a visa when you are PR (it's not required!)).
In theory, you're right with the 3 days, but... sometimes Canada Post is very slow. My parents live in a small city, about an hour of drive from Quebec city. Recently, they sent a card for my wife's birthday, and it took a full week to arrive. It was the same in the other direction, when we sent a card to my father's wife.

Very sad to be in that situation. Carol, thanks for sharing.

Still waiting for DM (PA).

Good to know that sometimes the appeals for excessive demand are sometimes successful. Minister Ahmed Hussen said he would be looking into those types of cases and consulting with each province.

He will be in Toronto and will be part of an Immigration Town Hall on Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Scarborough Civic Centre. Apparently he will provide an update on recent immigration initiatives, including the passage of Bill C-6 and reductions in processing times for spousal sponsorship, and take questions from attendees.

Edited: I just got through to IRCC through Citizenship line and call center person said still doing security and nothing needed from us. Same as last couple of weeks when we checked.

Also finally got a response to the technical glitch requesting additional documents via e-mail last week and told was an error and nothing needed.

Hi Profiler,

I think you are right (as you always), they took almost 60 days to reply you back when request for new docs.
I have submitted new docs on May 18 and till now no update from CIC. I already have SA on May 10.

Keep in mind, he inherited a ship that was broken. It "worked" in the past, under lower levels. Unfortunately, it didn't get the attention it needed until it was too late. This was also the trouble John McCallum had.

The Live-In Caregiver, and TFW programs are not the same as the spousal program. Under the spousal program, applicants are exempted from excessive demand. Additionally, they can have (and usually do) have specialists weigh in on how the person may "weigh" on the health care system. There is a threshold that they set, and as long as you are not above that, it's acceptable.

Re: Security Check: huh. well I am sorry it's taking this long. I am not surprised, given the strain the refugees who are crossing illegally are placing on the system. Sadly, that's the result

If you didn't get a reply from webform, you may want to call just to check up to make sure they did get them. Otherwise, they will get to them

Just to follow up on my previous post, still looking to see if anyone else has any experience with landing in Ottawa?
I have tried contacting our local MP (well, my partner emailed which seemed to be the logical as the Canadian), turns out he is a bit of a chocolate tea pot so not holding out much hope there.
I'm into my 6th week waiting for an appointment now, managed to get through on the CIC line today and the person I spoke to said they would send the Ottawa office an email reminder. So a small glimmer of hope for some good news in the next couple of weeks.

The last person that I remember announcing a landing in Ottawa was ZumbaGirl... but she signed off...

Hello Everyone,
Can anyone answer me - I came into Canada as a visitor and we applied for Inland spouse PR along with OWP in 2016 Nov, Ive got my OWP approved in March 2017 and i started to work. While my PR application is in process, i want to know if i have to travel out of country what are my options ? my visitor visa that i came in got expired in May 2017 and i didnt bother to extend as i have got my OWP then. I dont have any intention of travel out anytime soon, in case of an emergency i would like to know my options.
Thanks in Advance

It's possible but not recommend especially if from a visa exempt country but it's pretty much in the descretion of the border officer as you're not gauranteed back in even if you have an application in process and being turned away means you will have to start over inland
