Take your COPR on vacation. Visit a High Commission or Embassy where you are visiting with it. They issue it there... $50

I wonder if the landing office can do it. They asked us if we planned to travel within the next 2 months, we said no. But I wonder if they could have issued a travel document on site if we would have needed one...

Visit the high commission in India. In Canada they won't give you a travel document. It's to return only. At landing they'll explain..

No Kitchener expressly told us to take COPR to HC or Embassy to get a PRTD to return...

I feel your pain, but it will be over soon and we all will have dm. I feel I'm over obsessing with constantly checking my status and reading forums lol. But it compforting knowing your not alone in the process and people understand what your going thru. Hang in there

What is the current status of C6 guys? Is it becoming a law before Canada day? looks like its at the stage of "Royal Assent"

Hi Sam, Bill c-6 received the royal assent, so it is a law now, but not everything becomes a law right away:

So for those being here for at least 2 years before PR, they can apply for citizenship 2 years after PR! (3 years out of 5, each day prior to PR = half a day, max a year can count prior to PR).

So everyone rushes to submit stuff in 1 or 2 days and that's really useless. If you submit in 30 days its pretty much the same as per my understanding here

Still cloudy in Quebec city, but no more rain expected for the Quebec national day! Like you, I hope a lot of people will get DM on time for Canada day!

It already is law. The pieces are coming into force in stages..
