Check your ECAS and or email. Also check ECAS after 8am Eastern tomorrow. I bet you just scored (or are about to score) AIP.

ok profiler noted. thank you

Thanks again profiler and congrats tyara almost done. =)

Just check my CIC account and there's a new update on the review of eligibility and it's indicated that " We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."

Thank you Pedropil! You will be almost done too...I got the same update as you on Friday (that they are reviewing eligibility) and next day (Saturday) I got DM on both sides in ECAS. Landing later came today.... So it went really fast for me, hopefully for you too!

Something I did also think of, make sure that you have some form of status as well, for at least the next little while (90 days anyway). If you don't have an OWP or TRP that will be valid that long, you might want to apply for a TRP.

I really hope this works and you can resurrect the dead file. By the wording of the manual, you should be able to, if you tell them that you genuinely thought you submitted enough proof, that you did not get a request for more proof, or a procedural fairness letter.

Keep in mind, that you could, in theory, raise it to a federal court. They would argue that inlands cannot petition the court. But they also have to have a defensible position, that you cannot defeat. If they didn't follow process, or you state they didn't, then you have a reasonable shot at the court instructing them to reopen the file. In that case, it would also mean that you have a reasonable shot at the reconsideration actually working. Don't get your hopes up, just in case, but it's definitely worth the effort now.
They did sent a letter requesting additional documents which were provided 3 days after they asked on December 1, 2016.

Is the landing letter linked to my cic account? Or just a email sent by local cic office directly?

It is just an email sent by local cic office. In MyCIC account nothing changed.

The argument can still be made that you were not given a fair interview as well. But that's not very good.. you did supply them??

There is alot of arguments to be made. Because our interviewer stated that she might ask for another interview or she would request additional documents. She didn't even complete my husband's interview.
I am going to take it a day at a time and prepare my full case for my next application.

Hi Tyara,
cobgrats.
one query: did they request you RCMP fingerprints or you submit it in advance?

Thank you Speechless!

No, nobody requested from me RCMP fingerprints. I didn't include them in my application either. Only thing I send was PC from back home.

Ok. Well you could still try a reconsideration letter with a mountain of proof too.. saves you the 1000$.

Either way that you go, best of luck.

My wife as well. They are starting to branch into biometrics, but most from 2016 have been excluded. The chosen few I think we're for identity verification.
