Thank you everyone for your prompt replies! Perhaps, I might hear something in June'17.

Despite having lot of patience and faith, the uncertainty is killing. Perhaps it's just being human in fearing the unknown.

Can I ask: do you not think your case will be accepted? If not, why?

As long as the sponsor doesn't have some extraneous reason why they cannot sponsor, the sponsorship will be approved.

As long as the PA is a member of the family class, with a sponsor, they will get AIP. If they question something, they will contact to ask for more proof, and before they just reject an application, they send a Procedural Fairness letter. That gives people a last chance to correct something.

As long as both of those stages are met, and there is no criminality or security concerns, there is a 100% chance that the application will be approved, and a DM will be issued.

Try not to focus too much on it. That's the biggest mistake I think people make. When you focus on something totally outside of your control, you end up stressing out for no real reason. You will be given lots of time or opportunity to respond to concerns, if any. So, try not to worry.

That's the ultimate message here: try not to worry. Let them do their job.

Mmmmm one of my favourite food groups...

I don't think Quebecers have a rule that says, "Thou shalt not barbeque".... I know for me, I would be moving if they didn't permit me to BBQ 12 months a year... :D

Thank you Profiler!

That was very well explained and very supportive too!

Mine is a genuine case of spousal sponsorship with my sponsor being financially stable and having a good job.

Just that no news raises my speculations.

But, your explanation helps a lot! Thank you :)

I kind of sounded like a jerk there, and didn't mean to. Sponsors can sponsor even without a job!

Many only saw news right at the very end. I understand that isn't really fair of them to do. But there probably wasn't any news to report until the very end. Lately they have been assessing and approving entire files within a matter of hours. So, really, all we can do is try to move on from it, and remember that they will approve it (or give lots of warning to let you fix whatever may concern them)..... and worst case; absolute worst case; you can always reapply if something was very wrong...

But vast, vast majority have nothing to worry about, and it's just the torturous time waiting..

Erable_rouge, I can 100% say I know what you are feeling, That is what I was experiencing until hubby got AIP on May 4, 2017. It was such a relief. Then I got SA on May 15, 2017. I can tell you with no doubt that you and hubby and hubby and I will both get landing appointments soon.

Hang in there.
Thank you Browning911! Would be happy to share my good news with you!

No! You didn't sound like a jerk. :-)

Probably, I sounded like a uterly frustrated case. :-)

You and every other person who posts! Especially GuyanaGirl and Browning911...

It totally happens. Drove me crazy when others from the day we applied were seeing approvals, and we had nothing. But then out of nowhere, we had two documents come in from them, and when I called my MP's office to complain about a medical request (after it was already done, and approved!), they told us to hurry and get it done ASAP as they were waiting for that to make their decision. 48 hours after the medical was submitted it was approved, and very shortly after eCAS showed DM and we had a landing appointment less than 2 hours later.

That's what I mean by fast. Things might be happening right at the end, and it might happen so fast that you or their systems cannot keep up. I didn't get a DM letter until a week after eCAS showed DM, and we had a landing 2 days after that.

For you, it will be coming any day now...

No Profiler as usual you tell it like it and we appreciate your words of wisdom, even when you get political like some jackass said.

Probably, I sounded like a utterly frustrated case. :)

No you sounded like everyone who wants to get this over with and move on to citizenship....LOL.

Now both of you stop apologizing.
