that great now you gotta get your Russia wisa

Those are a rip off. Typically 1 time use, or multiple use over a short period. And close to 400$...

She's going it alone this time. I just started a new gig in Feb and have not banked much Vaca time. So, I will go with her in Feb to meet the rest of the family and for babushkas 88'th bday

Hi agains guys,

I have to send a copy of my new passport via CSE to CIC, but I'm not sure how to fill in the form. I'm being sponsored by my husband, who is Canadian.
What type of application I should select? Sponsorship + Spouse/common-law partner in Canada? I'm not the sponsor, so that kind of confused me, but that seems the be the only right option, so I figured it must be it. Is that what you guys have selected?

And for the Applicant information, just to be sure, that would be me right? I'm the applicant, my husband is the sponsor, is that correct?

And lastly, have you received any correspondence confirming that the immigration officer received the documents uploaded, besides the automated email saying that the inquiry was sent? Does MyCic account change from "action required/we need additional doc's" into "we are reviewing the docs"?

The due date for me to send the passport copy is April 29th, and I'm a little freaked out about this.

Thank you for your help, this forum has always been a great source of support ;)

Yes.

Applicant info is you. Sponsor is him.

Automated first. Then it can take up to 30 days an officer will respond. But your confirmation will be enough to prove you tried to submit.

Why everyone keep talking about Schedule A and PCC request? Is this some new stage with the application process? I sent both with my application and got no request like many other..

All things considered I think it's the best approach. If I have any further queries I'll ask in the 2017 thread which I just found.

Thanks again and congrats to you and your Wife for having completed the process!

10-4. Not knowing the entire situation, that is the best possible solution. If you send me more details (in PM if you wish), then I might be able to help more. Both those should be easy to acquire.

2017 process change. They now don't ask for those until you submit

first of all Profiler...Dezia CONGRATS! .. btw profiler, how are you so calm all the time? hah you should be doing the happy dance too!

and good question..is the Schedule A thing a process? I thought they asked me because I forgot to send it haha. Found that strange.

As for for the june applicants hearing from CICs..I think it has to do with them also sending their medicals upfront :-\

... calm? Did you miss the last 20-30 pages of my griping and moaning? Lmfao. Everyone is happy I'll stop! :D PS: I stopped at the beer store on my way from work. We're celebrating, don't worry. Wife still can't / doesn't believe me that she's done... "How you know???"

Re Process: see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2016/ob633.asp .

They are really, really trying very hard to keep their commitments. It's a nearly impossible task. But by my estimates, they'll earn bragging rights...

I wouldn't be. But if you'd feel better, call the call Centre to verify your application status...
