So, bit of a funny story...

My manager is Indian-born Brit (grew up in Manchester; yes he has the mouth of a sailor).

I told him about the medical, so he knew I would be cutting out of work early that day. I remarked that it was wasteful. He then told me, it reminded him of his journey to Canada with his family (IEC; he is a PhD in Computational Physics).

When he went, the medicals were different. But also, he pointed out that they demanded he go to the local community college for IELTS testing. His reaction, was priceless...

"English test? You've godda be f*&^ing kidding me. English?? $300??"

Apparently the oral portion of the test was "funny". Considering his heavy English accent, and that he uses terms like "sod-off", "bollocks", etc. I can see where it would prove funny.

Imagine... CIC asked an Englishman to do English tests...

I mean, he was only *born* in India. His parents moved to Manchester shortly after. So, his whole life was in England. Anyway, it was the borderline-of-absurdity that I thought others might appreciate.

M sooo down right now,sent in Medicals since March 26 and still no DM from cic,just SA and they sent AIP twice.....And still no update on my ecas ,just showing application received and Medicals showing under review....M just fed up,dunno if I should call

Figure who your Member of parliament is, and contact their office to explain your situation.
They will contact CIC and get you some answers as to what the hold up is at this point.

If memory serves, Matthars had something similar, where they were just sitting in a holding pattern for some time. Today, we found out that they were the lucky winners of a QA Interview.

I have my suspicions that may be the case here.... What was your received date again?

EDIT: March 18 2016. You need to be patient. Ours was in a similar state until this morning. We are March 2.

Application was received March 10th 2016 ,and I sent Medicals March 24th 2017....And got AIP twice.
